Paul Williams needs a soft touch to get his confidence back after the Martinez disaster. Therefore, he will take Lara apart; probably win by KO.
I do not get the HUGE number on Rios. There is value in Antillon, just not sure how much, but a SU bet on Rios is not a possibility for me.
Bute of course will puree Mendy, case closed.

I'm not so sure how much Williams has left at this point! He has taken sooo many clean punches from Martinez, Margarito etc. and I think it has taken a toll on him already?

The number on Antillion looks good, but honestly I don?t give him much of a chance against Rios!

Agreed on Mendy!!

Agree 100%. I think Rios wins as he is the same type of fighter as Urbano only better BUT +385 is a joke.
Pinnacle actually opened at +410!!

Williams chin is shot. It happens overnight to guy's with iron chins. Tex Cobb had the best chin ever and it crumbled overnight against Dee Collier.
Same thing with Williams.
Martinez is not the murderous puncher some people make him out to be.

I will bet pretty big on Lara at +275. He is a bad match up for Williams at this stage.

A lot of Brits are picking Mitchell to beat Murray. I don't see it.

Mitchell was brutalised by Katsidis in his last fight and blamed it on outside distractions.

For this fight, both he and his Mother are up on drug charges, how is he going to handle those outside distractions against a much bigger man.

Williams-Lara

Williams-Lara

My viewpoint here is based on, for instance, the last 3 guys Lara fought. Soft touches pretty much. Also Williams people know they MUST match him up properly otherwise he has to pack it in sooner than later. At 5'9" Lara will be telegraphing his punches trying to nail the 6'1" Williams. I won't lay 3-1 on Williams but may pair him up. I still say he wins this. It may be ugly but so what.

WHAT!!! You have a mortal lock winner. If Mitchell wins you win 5 dimes. Now you can play the other side for whatever you want to catch a dynamite middle. Bet $2500 or so on Murray @-165. You can't lose.

THANK YOU!!! Free money is never a bad thing. I think Williams is a good play; now if we were talking about Kelly Pavlik, the "Illustrated Man", I would have my doubts.

Kevin Mitchell?s showdown with John Murray has been moved to Saturday 16th July at the Liverpool Echo Arena after the Londoner came down with a viral infection.

i can't hedge

let it ride

flight to the heavens, or shot down in a blaze of glory

:bigun:
I hate to tell a man what to do but, I think your crazy not to hedge.

On their best nights, Mitchell probably beats Murray but he is coming off a bad stoppage loss, he and his family are up on distributing drugs charges and now he has an infection. Things are not sounding good for Mitchell.

I bet pretty big on Lara at +270. I think Williams punch resistance is gone and he seems to get caught quite easily by Southpaws. I really like Williams but I think he will be hurt pretty easily in this fight.
Lara was too intent on taking Molina out with one puch and this made him look like shit. He usually punches in combo and is pretty accurate.

I also put a small bet on Urbano at +380. I think Rios is just like Urbano times 2 BUT anything can happen in a fight that is going to come down to willpower. Rios should win but Urbano might just break his will.

Good luck all :toast: :toast:

fuck an excruciating delay

do you really think it's a virus infection or a frank warren move to make it a cockney doubleheader with nicky cook?

---

i like the urbano play also

just cuz rios beat acosta doesn't mean he can beat urbano

hopefully the triangle of death plays out like with cotto, margarito, mosley

and pavlik, taylor, hopkins

beating a & b doesn't mean you'll beat c or something like that :mj07:

hmmm, if the line on Antilion continues to rise, I might take a chance as well....

after all, Rios is not exactlay Floyd Mayweather defensivewise. ;-)

Its not this week, but I feel Mitchell wont have the best preperation for Murray. I just keep hearing more and more stories about him.

If you want to play Murray, it looks as though its the time now!
