The Bills have definitely made major changes. The word is the new coaching staff is VERY intense and organized, and have been having good luck convincing vets and rookies to get in shape and lose weight. The defensive front 7 took a big hit in off-season, and with out Wiley and Nose Tackle Ted Washington, will probably be giving up a lot of rushing yards.
To compensate, they supposedly will switch to a 4-3.
I feel they should have sent Johnson back to SOCAL where he came from, and stuck with Flutie who is used to playing in the cold, mud and wind [ala Jim Kelly]. Johnson just does not impress me as a leader, which is apparent several times each games he get sacked [killed] and gets that "Deer caught in headlights" look. Instead of getting mad, he seems to give up.
My theory is that Johnson is the starter only because of Ralph Wilson, who has ordered so, because he paid $24,000,000 for basically Jacksonville's 3rd string quarterback, and wants to get his a return on his investment. [Sorry to rant]
IF, and it is a big IF, Johnson can stay healthy, the Bills have a chance to play .500 ball this season...
