You're right. He'd do nothing and tell you how great he was for doing nothing while people died and terrorists gained power.
Freedom isn't free. Sometimes that means you pay with human life, sometimes it's money. I'm thankful we can make a difference with our money.
We should have learned our lesson about "America First" after WWII, but based on a lot of Republican comments, we clearly haven't.

BTW: The title of this thread is a shot at Biden for investing in our own infrastructure. If we put a billion towards solving the homeless crisis, it would be "socialism". When Biden invested in border security, it was deemed "too late".

They've shown plenty of clips of Americans in the streets here, denouncing America, too.
And we send money to Israel, because they are our allies.
If Biden did nothing, the cry from the Right would be, "Why isn't he helping Israel!!!!"
