Buy the dip?
This shit is a trough.

Sitting on the sidelines if and until the bleeding stops.
Always exciting waking up to yet another day of my portfolio dropping another 5k :scared:

Just made a cash deposit, will buy more next week...

This might go way, way deeper than i thought. BTC is under 9?k and XMR at 250. ETH has been holding pretty well at 1.1k

It could be months (if ever) prices go higher again (BTC ~15k) but i doubt very much that december was ATH for cryptoworld. Market cap now 475B and ETH is catching BTC dominance quickly (33.5% vs 22.7%)

interesting situation at least

Apparently Coinbase emailed IRS forms last night to all account holders. Coincidence?

We're probably going to be scuffling until after April, at least.

This crash might actually be a blessing in disguise since I am new to crypto. Not losing much and the getting is cheap. Loaded up on more Ven and Eth.

Good luck guys

Hopefully you sold some on the way up, as this makes the way down much easier to sit pat. If you didn't sell on the way up, you are now selling a dip. You would only feel good about this if it went to zero. If it doesnt go to zero you will end up FOMOing back in a higher number.

So if you think zero - sell now, exit.

If you think not zero, I would recommend sitting pat.

BTC has been dead many times. As soon as all these noobs that bought the absolute top and plowed into alts figure out these alts aren't worth shit with BTC getting rekt they will figure out how to remake the market. There is a lot of human and financial capital invested here, if they can't make it work, then it goes to zero. It is what it is.

FWIW, there are many bullish things for BTC:
-Lightning
-Clean mem pool
-Low fees
-Samsung making mining chips (this is huge underrated news)
-Mainstream media attention (bad news is also good - it generates interest - and when it flips will be extra fuel)
-Continued adoption including Square

Big picture, there are a lot of good things. There are also many things that could make this fail. Personally for me, I am not panicking. My original reasons for buying BTC were not to make tons of money - I found it to be an exciting idea. I still think this to be true - so I will hope for the best. Which seems odd, because if you told me a year ago we would be looking at this market, I would have laughed at you.

Absolutely zero panic here. I?m buying cheap ALTs to flip in the spring.
In the meantime, turn off blockfolio and enjoy the family :toast:

market cap now ~45% from ATH so far

my guess is we will see rapid rock bottom hit in a week and then start gaining back...

The last two hours has seen my portfolio jump a large amount [emoji106]
Unreal. What a rush. Makes waiting for a 3 hour football game to get over seem like watching paint dry :mj07:
Probably drop 10k tonight when the Asian market realizes the West thought it was time to get back in [emoji15]

I got lucky and bought more MTL before it pumped last night. Picked up more VEN today. Going to buy more VEN in another day or two.

from bitcointalk.com:

"- The 100 richest Bitcoin adresses have increased and not decreased their holdings during the last four weeks."

= orchestrated dip , but in the other hand over $550.000.000.000 gone from the marketcap :scared

someone has collected decent profits...

Sold 80% of my portfolio from 15k down to 9k. Only have 3 BTC in the game at the moment spreadout through my main coins. Gonna let this pullback play out then put some back in. Fiat looks nice in the bank account.
