I haven't checked the internet but my source was a Texas truck driver who made trips out West.

He reported that California has a tax on cow farts.

And holy shit

California Decides to Regulate Cow Farts in Order to Fight Global Warming

California has become the first state in the union to regulate cow farts. The Golden State enacted legislation in September that will regulate greenhouse gas emissions from farms and landfills including cow flatulence, a major source of methane, which is a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.

?If we can reduce emissions of methane, we can really help to slow global warming,? said Ryan McCarthy, a science adviser for the California Air Resources Board, which is drawing up rules to implement the new law.
Livestock are responsible for 14.5 percent of human-induced greenhouse gas emissions, with beef and dairy production accounting for the bulk of it, according to a 2013 United Nations report.
Since the passage of its landmark global warming law in 2006, California has been reducing carbon emissions from cars, trucks, homes and factories, while boosting production of renewable energy.
February 22, 2019In the nation?s largest milk-producing state, the new law aims to reduce methane emissions from dairies and livestock operations to 40 percent below 2013 levels by 2030, McCarthy said. State officials are developing the regulations, which take effect in 2024.February 22, 2019 11:07 am" style="box-sizing: border-box;">

I feel bad for the sane people in California that didn?t vote for that piece of shit. I?d rather smell gas fumes than shit on the sidewalk.

Lol, I know this is unrelated, and I?m not much of an outdoorsman, but in Louisiana we have the Atchafalaya swamp southwest of Baton Rouge. It?s not the Everglades, but it?s damn cool to look at in photos. Look up Frank Relle photography. Friend of mine. Some good stuff :0074

I wouldn?t live in Cali even seasonally. Besides the wokeness trumping common sense out there, the Water is just too damn cold. I just turned 48, so my 11 year retirement plan is to keep my house in Nola or downsize to a condo, build small house in blue mountain beach** , then split time between those two, Northwest Spain and the Mediterranean coast of Spain.

**Many of my Rocky Mountain and west coast friends have no idea about the killer beaches of northwest Florida. Soft white sand and warm clear water. Plus, no wokeness at all. I guarantee that many MJers up east and throughout the southeast will know about these ?hidden? gems.

Well if being woke is too much for you there is always Bakersfield. :SIB
One nice thing about cold oceans and lakes is that there are no snappers. :scared
Spain would be very nice.

It would be hard to argue that California has the best weather of any place in the whole USA. It?s beautiful there and temperate. My problem wouldn?t be the ridiculous governor or the inability to get a plastic bag at the gas station; I can?t stand/tolerate that traffic. I suppose maybe a less urban area would work though. Maybe I just haven?t visited the right areas. Californians are definitely blessed with amazing weather. That for should!

No doubt. I would love SoCal weather but with warm pacific water. Where I live, my jeep top is on most of the year bc of rain or outlandishly humid heat. A friend of mine is an LA realtor and he?s just the opposite. Top down in his convertible 95%

Outside grills? including big green eggs already in consideration also..
a shame that one of most beautiful states demise is subject to politics?the biggie taxes to support unwanted agenda.
But my dog not in that fight and apparently the majority there (per votes) like this agenda?
