Lsu has 1 loss and bam a has 2, including last week to lsu. In the unlikely event that aub vacates wins, for bam a to go to the title game, lsu will have to lose to ole miss and ark, while bama would have to win out. If lsu loses 2 more games, then they would not deserve a shot anyway.

The good news for me is that I am cool with it either way. I try to leave the typical sec fan overreaction to folks with no life.......just saying;)

The NCAA is not following their own rules. It's not supposed to matter whether Cam or Auburn knew anything about it.

Auburn declared Cam ineligible. So, there's admission there of something impoper. Then they appeal and the NCAA says, "It's all good. Cam and Auburn knew nothing about the dad taking money." This is too bizarre.

I fucking hate Oregon more than any other team in any sport. I am going to be forced to root for them now over Scam Newton. I'm going to vomit.

What's funny about all of this is that the NCAA admits to wrong doing yet there is no punishment... However, MSU basketball player Renardo Sidney is still having to sit out his year and a half suspension from an investigation that the NCAA found nothing wrong

So is it because Cam didn't know or because they never received any money?

What would have happened if Bush would have just said he had no knowledge of his dad getting money from an agent?

My guess on this-NCAA doesn't want a playoff and if something happens to Cam and he can't play, Auburn doesn't go to the NC game. TCU goes instead and every major conference Pres is bitching and moaning.

Personally I'm happy he's playing. I want to see Oreg and Aub and I also want to see him play in the game. I like watching the best players in the biggest games.

No way of proving he or his dad did or didn't receive money. Auburn declared him ineligible for a reason.

Here you are, hope this clears it up for you. This is from the NCAA site. The link to the whole article is listed previously in the thread, but this is the answer to why Auburn declared him ineligible, and even though you didn't ask it also explains why he is eligible.

The NCAA concluded on Monday that a violation of amateurism rules occurred, therefore Auburn University declared the student-athlete ineligible yesterday for violations of NCAA amateurism rules.

When a school discovers an NCAA rules violation has occurred, it must declare the student-athlete ineligible and may request the student-athlete?s eligibility be reinstated. Reinstatement decisions are made by the NCAA national office staff and can include conditions such as withholding from competition and repayment of extra benefits. Newton was reinstated without any conditions.

From a student-athlete reinstatement perspective, Auburn University met its obligation under NCAA bylaw 14.11.1. Under this threshold, the student-athlete has not participated while ineligible.?

Who the hell knows how they'll rule on things. You have Dez Bryant last year that did nothing wrong but was worried so he didn't tell the truth about what he had done with Sanders. They kicked him out for the year for misleading them. Her you have someone who's dad was asking for money for him to play yet it's ok.
