Last week I wrote here how I sold a guy an antique on E BAY on he sent me his Master Card Number. Well, I waited a few day s to ship the goods ,AFTER M.C. had given me authorization number005771 and Transaction Ref. number 3090899.
4 days later ,I go to get the $$ and M.Card says NO, the card was stolen so tough shit to you,we had NO OBLIGATION to phone and let you know ,so piss-off. So now the guy has MY goods at NO CHARGE ..
Now ,here is where I need some help from 'the sharp computer guys'.
The guys e-mail address is jayus @ verizonmail.com
Is there any possible way of getting this guys address ??????
He had the goods shipped to a name of Anton Susanto at Depot Jabar
16421 Indonesia
But Master Card says the card was reported stolen out of New Hampshire the day the Fed. Ex arrived..
What I am trying to find out is if I can find this jayus@verizonmail.com ???????
The cops can't be bothered, they tell me to keep dealing with my lawyer and go after Master Card for the $11,500.
Boy, what a freekin' pain :( Thanks if anybody can help...Spanky..

I have some that go out a few years.

Spanky man you are one trusting dude. Shipping something worth 12K to Indonesia before having the cash actually in your account, wow. I hope you nail this prick.

Spank is this for a Rolex, am I looking at the right auction?

My first clue not to sell to this guy would be he has ONE rating on ebay, a negative 1 rating with a feedback of "Do not trust this bidder! He bid over $1000 for a watch and refused to honor it." Sending something worth $12K to him without waiting for the cash is dicey, though I understand you had the auth# and everything and hey hindsight is 20/20 all the time.

I dont know, can you call Ebay? I dont know that they can help you too much though. Good luck, hope you get him.

If Master Card "cleared it " with that date, it must have been O.K.
My wife just got her VISA ,and it goes into /04 , Just over 2 years. Maybe there find it more cost efficient to make the cards 'good' for longer periods of time ,don't know really. I'd just like to find if this guy is in the U.S. then I could go after him on many, many charges (theft ,mail fraud, etc.)

that's kinda what i was wondering about, Spanky....if mastercard had inadvertantly cleared a bogus account......if that was the case, it would be M/C that you would have by the short hairs :D

Ace, You got it !!!!!! That WAS my Rolex...Now I'm fuched,I feel. Just look how perfect it was, and I get a "Hand Polish " from this Shit...
I figured once M.C. gave me the O.K. and I held it a few days, it was safe to release. Why would'nt M. Card phone me (as a merchant ) and let me know the card was 'bad', I could have had Fed.Ex. return the item...
Mama, yes, I got a BIG problem (lawyer) with M.C. who is disclaiming ANY culpability. Fuch those assholes...

Yes Monk, but after about 20 e-mails to the above e-mail, we 'came' to a price and went from there. 1 phone call ( I have the # from him) but a pile of copies of all the e-mails.
Then the guy says he wants to buy any more I might have,WOW !!!!!
I wish I could try sending him an E-mail from a different address, as he WON't respond to my e-mails....

spanky,

create yourself a new address from yahoo, hotmail, canada.com, etc. and try emailing. I would pretend to be someone with a similar watch for sale and say how you noticed his bidding on ebay. Then ask him if he's interested and try to set him up.

While doing that, I would still pursue MC though. A lawyer is definitely advisable as they IMO are responsible if they gave you an approval #. What's to stop you from selling something out of a brick and mortar store, running the CC transaction, getting an approval, letting customer walk out of store with merchandise, then finding out a week later that they rebuked the approval? MC is at fault here.

BTW. where do you work? do you sell watches? Get me discount on a rolex :D

Infinii how many you need.? I'll sell mind. Dam thing does not keep good time. I have to set it once or twice a week. I think for a item that cost 35 bucks it should do better.

Spanky,

Sorry to hear your problem. If I was you I would contact a lawyer who has an overseas office or overseas contacts,ASAP.I think time is of the essence.

Maybe someone here can recommend the correct type of attorney.

Good Luck.

To Djv's smart ass shit when I really don't need it !!!!!!!!

Infinii wrote, "BTW. where do you work? do you sell watches? Get me discount on a rolex "

DJV joked back, "Infinii how many you need.? I'll sell mind. Dam thing does not keep good time. I have to set it once or twice a week. I think for a item that cost 35 bucks it should do better."

He was making a joke that his $35 "Rolex" doesn't keep good time. He wasn't giving you any "smart ass shit" as far as I could tell.
