I know a ton of women who can't bake a cake.

LOL! I don't think it's wrong for either gender not to know stereotypical gender things. There are just certain things everyone should know, regardless of gender. Basic cooking, basic car maintenance, you know, basic shit in general. It's not that I expect him to know, it's just highly unusual because men in the old days typically were fairly handy - just not my pops! He makes a mean beef stroganoff, though.

Above the Clouds....
YES, it's his fault. I don't like stereotypes, but how many men that are like 70 don't know shit about cars? My mom and I send him the opposite way from anything mechanical because he just fukks it up worse. He knows this. He's good for other things, like lifting heavy boxes and cooking. Just don't let him touch anything that's messed up. The worst part is he still opens his mouth and tries to "help" when it's more than obvious he doesn't know WTF he's talking about!

You know what kelly you're going to miss him when he's gone and there is a big difference in cars when he was growing up and now.

I bet Kelly can bake a mean cake :0074

I don't know about that, lol. I was raised to only focus on my education and sports (my interest). My mom is highly educated and not interested in domestic stuff. None of us learned how to cook, either. Never had an interest in it until a few years ago. Now, I lenjoy cooking, just like my dad. I grill more than I cook. And, I don't bake. Although, Bartster, I am happy to report that I could make a cake from a box.

I actually find cooking to be very relaxing and I love cooking with someone else....lol....so fun it can be.

Hmmmm, so I'm not domestic and I'm not handy. Really, of no use other than lawyering and playing sports, lol. :mj07:

I know, Morris. I'm just teasing...I don't believe anyone should be forced into gender roles. He has no aptitude toward cars/mechanics, and no interest, so it makes sense. Similarly, my mom has no interest in domestic crap, but does all the outside work around the house. Whatever works for each couple...

My brothers and I have talked about how there are basic, common sense types of things that all kids should learn. Cooking, laundry, basic car care, etc..If the parents don't know, get someone who does to teach them. That's all I'm saying.

What the hell woman? Why didn't you just call? I know you have family in and all but surely you should know by now, I always have the proper tool for the job hanging well below my belt line? How many times do I have to show you? What you need is your own strap on for when I'm not there. I am sure there is a tool belt that will fit nicely around your hips and waistline......just sayin...:.....
Kelly I actually missed ya darlin. We need to catch up and I probably need to come by and clean up under the hood and undercarriage, maybe root all all the junk in the trunk, just get all up in the guts. Of the Toyota of course. Okay, I need a cigarette. Much love gorgeous,
F (you know what the "f" stands for) DC
(fixes for those of you that are not in Kelly's inner circle, oh my).

Hi Hawkeye! Happy New Year! I pretty much hang around 50%, so not sure how much of an asset my picks are. Maybe good for fades. I cap my own games and then check like three posters to see where they are - you, of course, are one of them.

Good luck to you in the New Year and thanks for all your posts. :toast:
