right now they are basically even on betting sites I saw recently ...

personally I could argue either side; my one point probably not discussed as much as needed is the east lost 122 more games then the west

anyhow, nba dot com site had CA running ahead @ 63% to 29%

I bet both at beginning of year with nice $$ either way, bet slightly more on CA

:) ok, Ill start it off and give nose nod to :)

To me Lebron is like Vince Carter a suberb jackass who can't do anything for his team, no playoffs, no good season, just individual good seasons and money!!!

I hope I am wrong because he has potential! :D

My vote is for "Melo." Identical statistics for the most part, but the Nuggets are in the playoffs! Nobody can convince me that James doesn't have as much talent surrounding him. In fact, the Cavs will be better than Denver in a couple of years.

Mr Anthony

Mr Anthony

CA is the right choice. I wonder if LJ would have carried Cuse to NCAA Title? Will never know, but CA did!

LJ has the fancy no look passes which are great if you win!

Give me CA Any Day!

appears the nba has somewhet a conspiracy to hand torch to LJ ... heard hes shoe-in now ... 63% to 29% at nba dot com and what 8-1 here are that far off? ...

dont get me wrong, close race etc, but seems kinda fishy with MAJORITY OF people with hoops knowledge saying NO to LJ

hes great kid and race mustve been close .. wonder if I woulda won both sides if it was tie ;)

You could not be more wrong. The Cavs are still a couple of pieces away from being one of the NBA's elite teams. LJ carried his load and then some this year and the Cav's will get there.

I am glad that you think he does have some potential. Hope the kid makes it.

nba dot com also has Kobe running 2/1 over KG, what a laff ...

those shots he took down stretch were vintage AI selfishness in opener vs HOU

announcing tomorrow for ROY, love to see a tie like petrie and cowens in '71

love both players

love both players

and won $$ no matter what, tho woulda won more with CA getting trophy but was curious if ...

LJ switched teams with CA and teams records woulda flipflopped and all stats remained the same, who woulda got ROY

personally think this was huge carryover for HS hype and NBA wanting an heir apparent--really surprised the first place votes werent closer 78-40?

as for the argument that LJ carried heaver burden/weight etc, the team sucked last year, they traded or benched all other shooters/gunners and he was allowed to fire away and carry torch good or bad; given 42 mins a nite a player/stud like LJ is gonna get some numbers ...

again, dont take this wrong, I love the KID, but he mighta won on his spectacular plays more than being a more valuable player than CA right now ... kinda like amare over Yao last year ... then again, Im not sure what the criteria is voters use in evaluating this award

oh well, thanx for adding to this

take care

Are we talking about the same Carmello that refused to enter the game when called on as a sub? The same Carmello that drew the ire of his teammates for shooting too much? James clearly made his teammates and everyone around him better and did it with more expectations.

Most of the people that want Carmello to win say that because they just want it to be `anyone but Lebron`because their tired of the Lebron hype. It is pretty obvious though that Lebron was a more valuable rookie that Mello, he made everyone better and he did it from game one until 82. Does anyone think the cavs would be in the Play Offs if they had Carmello? No chance.

addressing your points

addressing your points

yes CA refused to go in and pouted, then he felt so badly he couldnt sleep, phoned MJ, who chewed him out and CA went in the next day and apologized to his teammates and coaches--i heard his interview, he faced music like a man and realzied he was being a baby/punkand vowed he'd never do it again, to me it sounded very sincere which i applauded seeing a young man stand up and admit he was wrong, something we dont see often from the hoi poloi to our leaders

as for shooting too much, LJ took more shots than CA per game; AI is ulitimate gunner; Kobe jax; MJ jacked, all the greats put it up--the fact CA's mates got on him showed they wanted to win, which from guys like andre miller was beneficial to Carmelo--he did avg. 24.7 (after break) and helped carry Nugs to playoffs down the stretch, beating portland in huge win with clutch shot after clutch shot (when LJ was asked to carry load with McInnis out Cavs floundered horribly during same stretch)

this isnt a pissing contest, I love both guys, but Melo is definitely not one to be denegrated from what ive seen; LJ has been awesome on and off the court from when I first saw him in HS

just still shaking head that 2/1 ratio on this isnt linked to pre-hype

gl to all
