North Texas -3 over San Fran ***
Not sure if anyone watched this game..it was brutal if you backed the mean Green like ME....1st half Dons's ball movement was like a clinic...crisp passes all over the floor....open jump shots everywhere...and I mean open. and uncontested...North Texas defenders were in the twilight zone...and Dons hit every open 3...and to make matters worse they were swishes...hit the freak'in rim once in awhile...SF had a 18-0 run at one point...it was 46-30 at the half...but despite NT getting blown out they did play better in the 2nd half and Don's outside 3's got cold...NT was down by only 7-8 pts with 3 or 4 minutes left to play...but SF hit another 3 and that put it away..of the 72 pts SF scored 42 came from 3's... NT couldn't hit there 3's,Woolridge lost the ball 3=4 times driving out of control...Smart shot 6-16 and Duffy was had been hot the past 3 games was 1-6 from the 3...I can see why he avg on 4 pts a game...Simmons the big kid had 10 pts and 22 rebounds for North Texas....but he gave up about 5-6 offensive rebounds that were SF put backs...how about boxing out just once..so everyone today is talking about how great he played....he gave up at least 10-14 pts in the paint...Miller the other trio of NT players that had come from nowhere these past weeks was 0-6...NT were rushing shots and many times "just out of control...SF is a disciplined team that runs motion offense..but NT as bad as they played in the 1st half came back and out scored SF 32-26...

So tonite will take the -3 and think at home NT who is 12-6 and SF 4-7 on the rd has the small edge... NT crowd will be tough to predict..its Greek Week so none of the fraternities and sororities will attend...they have their Greek week plans all set... but someone Shamed them about tonight so the latest scoop is they are all coming..about 1,000 greeks...the joke around campus is they are giving out free tickets everywhere...so not sure of the crowd...it would be nice if they got a big crowd supporting them....but NT's Super Pit is not a great home court advantage..the seats are to far back from the court....so the crowd is really not in the game...but for the players its good playing on your own baskets...
So despite playing so bad I think NT can tie this series at 1-1 and play Friday nite in Denton for the championship.. if Woolridge plays in control, if,Smart attacks and gets his shot off, if Duffy realizes just because he had 3 big games after the season ended stop taking fade away 3's, if,Simmons as great as you played try just once boxing out your man, and Miller you were 0-6 last game... so don't forget you avg 4 pts a game for the
season...you ain't a star yet,in fact you may never be one...if Coach Grant can get his team to play some defense....then NT might just win this game tonite and cover
There are a lot of " If's"...and I am 3-14 ats when there are more then 3 ifs in any game..so maybe this is a good fade game..

but I'm banking on the Fraternities and Sororities " If" they show up...Go mean Green

After the last game...

After the last game...

I lost the farm! Wasn't able to watch it but from the boxscore, it seems like NT had a very poor shooting night. SF wasn't eactly burning it up either but they did outshoot the Mean Green, 42% to 19% from 3-point land. There's the difference. NT slighty won the rebound battle and despite the poor defense you mentioned, they did hold 'em to 38% from the field. I think coach will have them ready, and if N Texas even approaches the offensive numbers they've been putting up lately, this should be a comfortable win. Time for win the downpayment on a new farm. Good luck!

USF hit 12 of 18 threes FH... that?s 36 points in 18 shots or... 100% FG for the mathematically challenged. That?s a little better than ok. Miraculously, they did miss layups and dunks, but nearly nothing but net at 25? and out.

2H they came back to reality, but yes, NT was not patient and made too many unforced to?s.

I was HUGE ON N Texas and managed to view the whole game without vomiting 🤮

100% return on shots attempted... 2.0 Pets per shot. I realize 12-18 is 2/3 and 67%

My post referred to San Fran's 14-33 (3-pointers) in the boxscore for the whole game which is about their average for the year. NT's mere 4-21 was the diff, as they average 44% for the year. btw...NT's 47% at home so hopefully it's a much different game tonight. Glad I couldn't watch Monday's game...I woulda been cussing!
