I got out of Sprint's. I told them I was going over seas - vague. They said they understood and would waive the fee. I got the final bill and it was on there anyway. I ignored it until it was sent to a out-sourced collection agency. Then I called and said there was a discrepency with the bill and explained that the fee should have been waived. They told me they were authorized to waive the fee if I would pay the roughly $50 still owed on the regular bill. I paid over the phone and was done with it. Maybe not the most responsible way to deal with it, but mission acomplished all the same.
