YTD 72-76 -4.77

Sask -3 @ Tor O\U 47.5

BC @ Win -7.5 O\U 49.5

The line on the SASK game is really confusing to me..... WHY are the Riders the FAV???? I am a die hard Rider fan and would love to see them win... but everything points to an Argo win in my opinion.... First of all Sask was 1-8 on the road all year. The only road game they won was the first game of the season against the last place expansion team Otttawa... and it took OT to do so.... 2ndly Toronto has all the momentum and Sask has ZERO momentum.... Sask has won 1 out of their last 5 games... including last weeks horrible game @ BC.. meanwhile Toronto has won 3 straight.... I did not see the last game but according to reports from Calgary players the Refs sure seemed to help Toronto to their comeback win last week.... Will the refs help them out this week???

The teams split their meetings this year with each winning at home....

The past few years its been the team with the momentum heading into the playoffs that has succeeded.... so Toronto is the play here getting points at Home against a team that can't win on the road!

Toronto +3 5.5 to win 5.0
Toronto ml +125 3.0 to win 3.75

BC @ WIN -7.5...

Winnipeg is on a roll... winning 5 straight heading into the playoffs... however their last loss came against this BC lion team... these two teams have met 3 times this season... twice in Winnipeg and once in BC with BC winning 2 out of the 3 games.... so if any team can beat Winnipeg right now I think BC is that team... There are reports out there that Stegall missed practice yesterday and may not play on Sunday due to a hip pointer.... Seriously though.... its a do or die game... he'll be playing.... but he will be banged up..... Winnipeg will probably win but I think it will be closer than the line suggests.... and its worth a shot on the ML for BC...

BC +7.5 3.3 to win 3.0

BC ml +240 1.0 to win 2.4

possible plays on totals later.... would lean towards Sask/Tor Under and BC/Winnipeg Over.... but passing for now...

Would like to hear others opinions about the rider game.... Should Sask really be favoured here????

Thanks

Just and update.... STEGALL will NOT be playing.... he is hurt worse than thought.... rumour has it that he has a broken rib.... he's been placed on the injured list....

On the other side Damon Allen is also injured... he has not practised this week and says he'll have to take some shots before he can play on Sunday.... He tried throwing a few passes with a small dose of freezing and may have agrivated his injury... he then said that if he's to play on Sunday he's gonna need about 3 times as much freezing as he got in practice......

So it looks like he'll be playing in pain....

With these two injured I'm now adding the Under in what should now be a very defensive battle....

BC/WIN Under 49 -108 3.24 to win 3.0

Korn i'm busy as hell these days so won,t be able to write a full write up with my picks but i lean with Sask -3 and Winnipeg -7. What i'll probably do is to tease them or play em on the ML. Under in Toronto-Sask looks good too... will post tonight very late or tomorrow morning. Anyhow, the winner of Tor-Sask will have the "honor" to get crush  :D by the Al's the week after! Expect a HUGE blow out there!!!:brows: $$$

An unbelievable amount of props for the 2 games at Oly. Any jump out at you?

Based on what you said, the UNDER yardage for BC passing may be a good play but then again Winnipeg is terrible vs. the pass and B.C.'s backup is pretty good.

I'm not sure.

I may also take a chance on a couple of those "player to score the first TD of the game" props.

No real props jump out too much... But maybe Winnipeg under 292.5 passing yards.... Without Stegall that takes away 100+ yards they were getting each game... which will have to be distributed elsewhere.... and without Stegall things will tighten up in the Lions secondary.... Usually teams have to double team Stegall which opens up other recievers.... Now BC will beable to play without doubling up on him.... which will make it harder for Winnipeg to pass....

Do you feel Foggie is a good backup? I don't consider him horrible.... but he's not that great either... if it comes down to Foggie playing in the freezing cold BC is dead.... Foggie has lived in the Dome.... He will be a "Frozen" duck in Winnipeg and Winnipeg will crush him.....

So the under may be a good play there aswell...

I do like Longest FG by Winnipeg though... BC's kicker Kellet is having an awful season... and going up against Westwood who knows Winnipegs wind better than anyone..... however would have to lay -150 on it..

Another lean is towards Longest TD Winnipeg... however laying -165 is steep.... Winnipeg makes some big plays... and lately BC has been sticking to the short stuff... So much that Alfred Jackson was complaining even after their win against Sask that Allen doesn't go deep enough.... if Stegall was playing I would play it... but for now will have to pass..

In the Sask game only one I like right now is Longest FG by Sask... better kicker... and Sask always seems to get stuck around midfield going for Long FG's..... but -160 steep price again....

May try a manual parlay on the longest FG's or something.... will decide later..

Playing a parlay on the ML: Sask -145 and -280 Winnipeg.

Playing a teaser with UNDER 53 (Sask-Tor) and UNDER 53.5 (Winnipeg -BC)

Playing these props: S. Millington over 59.5 yards -130 (1 unit)
Sedrick Shaw over 52.5 yards -115 (1 unit)

Cold and maybe some snow for Winnipeg game, will favor the Bombers and the running game...

Wish to all of you a great playoff time!:thumb: :drinky: :toast:

good luck today, guys!!!!

might as well post in here....!!!

;)

will try to find my record another time...

today's plays:

1) SASKATCHEWAN AT TORONTO Under +47.5 -110 ( 3units )

2) Toronto +3.0 -110 ( 1 unit)

yes, i'm still trying to figure out why sask is favoured....but toronto barely made it last week.....???

but , this one should be a hard fought, low scoring game...

cut and pasty analysis:

Saskatchewan, fourth place finishers in the west, had a better record than the third-place Eastern division Hamilton Tiger-Cats, so they cross-over to play the second place Toronto Argonauts.

The Riders head into the playoffs coming off a lack-luster 28-3 loss in BC Friday night. Quarterback Nealon Greene didn't have a great night, completing just 11-21 passes for 107 yards, no touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and, to add to his misery, he was sacked four times. His replacement, Kevin Glenn, didn't fare much better, completing 7-11 for 69 yards, no TD's and one interception.

The Saskatchewan running attack, which led the league heading into the game, was not productive at all. Sedric Shaw carried 10 times and gained just 43 yards, part of just 60 total yards.

Meanwhile, the Argos did what they had to do...get a point in their regular season finale against Calgary. One point was all they needed to vault past Hamilton and clinch second place. They scored an exciting 33-32 win over the defending Grey Cup champions, with Noel Prefontaine providing the winning points, kicking a 42-yard field goal with just 27 seconds left.

The Argos rallied from a 29-10 half-time deficit to get the win. For some reason, they were completely flat in the first half, but, after a dressing room speech by head coach Mike (Pinball) Clemons, they caught fire.

Quarterback Reggie Slack, despite playing with a broken thumb on his right hand, threw TD passes of 36 and 6 yards, to add to his total on the day, 26 completions on 35 attempts, for 318 yards, 3 TD's and one interception. Two of the TD passes went to the man they needed most to get the aerial attack started, Derrell Mitchell, who had 5 catches for 85 yards. The other TD pass went to Ted Alford, who had 10 catches in all, for 11 yards.

The numbers: the two teams split the season series, with Toronto winning 18-10 at home on August 16, and the Riders winning 40-11 at Taylor Field on September 15.

The injuries: Saskatchewan has three question marks for this game: strong-side linebacker Jackie Mitchell and safety Darnell Edwards were both hurt in BC, while veteran safety Jason Mallett, who missed the BC game with a jammed neck, is also iffy.

Keys to the game: Saskatchewan's running game, while still the best in the league has dropped off in the second half of the year. They average 144 yards on the ground per game, but that's a full 100 yards less than they averaged after the first four games of the year. Also, Nealon Greene has been hobbled... first with a pulled hamstring and lately, a hip pointer. The Riders finished the regular season 1 and 8 on the road.

The Argos on the other hand, went 4 and 2 under Clemons, since he replaced Gary Etcheverry. They won their last three in a row, to complete their playoff run. But, let's keep a few things in perspective. They beat Hamilton, after the Tiger-Cats lost their kicker on the opening play of the game, and had to go into overtime to do it. They then beat the expansion Renegades, who were inconsistent, at best, at quarterback. And, they beat a Calgary team, who self-destructed in the second half, with numerous penalties, and questionable play-calling. Did the Argos play well in the second half against Calgary? Yes, but I'm still not convinced they're that good. The Saskatchewan offensive line is questionable and that will make the difference. The Pinball Wizard will live another day.

FYI:

write up: B.C / WINNIPEG

Two teams on a roll, with a healthy dislike for one another will clash at CanadInn Stadium, in what has the makings of a pier six brawl.

The Lions started the season at 1-5, then fired head coach Steve Buratto, and replaced him with GM Adam Rita. Since that point, BC went 9-3 and one of the big reasons for their turnaround, has been the play of their defense.

The Lions finished the regular season beating Saskatchewan 28-3 last Friday night. The defense allowed just 245 total yards, including 69 yards rushing, which is impressive, when one considers that the Riders running game is the best in the league. They also sacked the Saskatchewan QB's six times, and intercepted three passes.

And, what would a game involving BC be without a bit of controversy? WR Alfred Jackson blasted the offensive scheme, saying QB Damon Allen had to throw the ball deep every so often, instead of simply throwing short passes and relying on the receivers to use their speed to create YAC yards (yards after catch.) Jackson may have a point. Allen completed only 10 of 20 passes for 125 yards and no touchdowns, but the running game was successful, with Sean Millington running 11 times for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

The Blue Bombers are the hottest team in the CFL as the playoffs loom. They won their fifth in a row to wrap up the regular season, a 20-8 victory over Edmonton Eskimos in front of another home sell-out crowd.

As was the case in the BC win, the Bomber defense set the tone. The Eskimo offense turned the ball over four times, twice on fumbles, and twice on interceptions.

Winnipeg defensive lineman Wayne Weathers had a career game at the right time, with two fumble recoveries, one for a touchdown, and two quarterback sacks.

However, the Blue Bomber offense did enough to win. Quarterback Khari Jones was good on just 12 of 25 passes for 201 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. The West division's nominee for the Most Outstanding Player Award, Milt Stegall, caught 2 passes for 32 yards, before he left the game. The team didn't say much about the injury, but kept him out of the second half for precautions. The big man, literally, was the big man for Winnipeg. Fullback Mike Sellers, the 6-foot-3, 260 pounder from Walla Walla, smashed his way through the Edmonton defense ten times for 66 yards.

The numbers: BC took two of three games with Winnipeg this year, including one win and one loss in Winnipeg.

The injuries: BC should be relatively healthy for this one. Slotback Geroy Simon's hamstring injury is just about healed, DB's Tony Walker (elbow) and David Byrd (quad bruise) are getting treatment and DE Craig Powell, who broke a thumb last week, is expected to play with a cast.

Winnipeg's injuries may be a bit worse. Linebacker KD Williams injured his knee last week and is out for the rest of year. Stegall's injury turns out to be a hip pointer, and he vows he'll play, but will he be affected by it? Also questionable are CB Marvin Coleman (back), LB Ryland Wickman (swollen knee), and DL Denny Fortney (undisclosed.)

Keys to the game: people who love defensive football, will love this one. BC's defense has been outstanding down the stretch. They intercepted Winnipeg quarterbacks 8 times in their three meetings, and through the regular season, led the league in plus-minus, with a rating of plus 25.

Winnipeg on the other hand, was minus-16 in giveaway-takeaway, in their first 13 games of the year. In the last five, they've improved to plus 7. In Winnipeg's first 13 contests of the year, they averaged 118 penalty yards per game. Through the five game winning streak, they've knocked that down to 70.6 yards. And, the Blue Bomber D has given up just four touchdowns in those five wins.

BC's vocal linebacker Carl Kidd, claims the Lions 'backers are the best in the league. They'll have to be to shut down Winnipeg's offense, which has more weapons.

If BC can't get the vertical passing game going, it could be a long day. No one can run against the Winnipeg defense, the best in the league. Kidd also said whoever wins this one, will represent the West in the Grey Cup. Too bad he won't be there. Winnipeg is 8-1 at home, BC 3-6 on the road. Cold playoff weather, and the home field advantage make the difference.

Recap:
4-2 +10.45 units!! :spotting:

YTD 76-78 +5.68 :D

what and ending to the BC game though....
It was quite amusing.... they cut to a shot of Stegall on the sidelines... then you hear him say "oh damm whats going on....... beat him down......"

then they cut back to the field and show about 15 BC lions just kicking the shit out of someone.... literally stomping on the guy.... kicking him like crazy... booting him down.... then Winnipeg players jump in and start fighting BC players....

then they show a replay of the field when they had the camera on Stegall... Some fan jumped on the field and ran towards one of the lions players who was waving his hands 'no no" and the fan charged at him and tried tackling him.... well guess what the fan went down and the lions pounced on him!!! LOL you have to see the highlights.... but seriously it was funny because of the reaction from Stegall and what he said....

What a dumb fan....

ohwell... Sask is out and my 2nd team BC is out.... so now who cares who wins the cup... right 1837 :p LOL
