So Cal
Can you explain how staking works? I have some 0x that Woodson shilled that sunk a hole in my portfolio and I know that can be staked, but I don't quite understand how and where to do this? I am definitely a noob when it comes to anything more advanced than storing my coins on a ledger.

Staking has been teased from time to time but the actual details have not been released. LinkPool will be 1st to go live with staking and nodes. You?ll need LINKPOOL to access this. It?s expensive.
Im guessing over time we are gonna see coinbase offer LINK node and staking service (for a fee)
Staking on LINK is kinda different from other coins where u lock up tokens for x amount of time for a pre agreed percentage gain. With link, the nodes need collateral to adequately accommodate each contract. For instance a $1 million contract would need LINK equivalent to $1 million in USD value as collateral held by the node server. Basically we will have an opportunity to fund these nodes with our link. Details are non existent now, so this is what a group of folks following closely have presumed by the crumb trails . Houbi was a big deal. Basically they have opened the flood gates for exchanges to run nodes where a staking service is the final result.

Obviously LINK is getting a ton of pub right now. What are your thoughts on this tulah?

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurr..._link_massive_22_surge_hitting_a_new/fx8bj0t/

Honestly, a organized fud campaign was issued since inception and is still in full effect.
The public wasn?t suppose to know about link early. It already secured its funding at SIBOS 16.
Watch the interview and who is in the room. Look at the timeline from when smart contract was created , to it being mention by name from Klaus Schwab In his book ?the 4th industrial revolution ? in 2015 to its winning a opportunity at 2016 SIBOS to a POC at 2017 SIBOS. 2 weeks ago Klaus Schwab Chairman of the WEF wrote ?this pandemic represents a rare but narrow opportunity to reflect, reimagine , and reset our world?

2 ways I look at it.
1st. they(enterprises) want your cheap link.
2nd. Kingmade

My last 2 cents for you,
DeFi has begun its test run and basically powered by LINK. DeFi is feeling like a testnet-reputation process before this project goes live and melts faces off.

LINK, Baybee!!!

Can?t thank you enough Tulah, for continuing to believe in LINK and giving us updates without any hype.
I bought a lot of LINK up to 2.25 only to see it stagnate along with the rest of crypto.
Patience is a virtue and I?m glad I haven?t sold any.
Only own BTC, XMR and LINK and own BTC and XMR mostly because I?m in at prices far lower than where they are at price wise today and it?s easy to move money to and from sportsbooks using BTC.
Exciting to imagine just where LINK may be headed? even more excited to think of where I may be financially in a few months/years :toast:

I developed patience early. I did automotive restoration for nearly 20 yrs. it always a long process.
We are watching the development of the network that will directly impact our financial future for the better. It?s beyond satisfying.
We been joking but seriously planning a mega yacht party post singularity with early link adopters or as we call ourselves LINK Marines . Early candidate location are St.Tropez and Dubrovnik

I forgot to post the interview at sibos 2016 and the top executives at swift .
Video is not from me but it?s good.

Whew. Whatta rush.

Notice the hexagons? coincidence ? I doubt it. Time will tell...that SWIFT roadmap is approaching fast.
SWIFT and derivatives will be the biggest catalyst.

DeFi has a short track record but it?s making money. When these smart contracts get audited and insured(through nexus)
Every freaking broker around will dump tons of capital into these protocols fielding 5-8% APR(for now)
Eventually 3-5% is supposedly sustainable, I have no idea, I?m just basically repeating projections.
Some wild liquidity pools are producing 600% yields. Incredible.
ChainLink is used by these protocols as it?s oracle. This is just 1 use case in for LINK in DeFi while in it?s infancy stage , it?s worth billions as a protocol.
With Aave, you can deposit LINK and gain small interest...you can also borrow 70% of its value in USDC or DAI in seconds. Do whatever you want with it, like buy more link , or add usdc to a liquidity pool and gain the fees generated.
Y Earn has opened a link vault where you?ll be able to store your link in there vault where fees accrued are compounded into more link and added to the vault which is basically a whale long
DeFi is here to stay and powered by ChainLink.
IMO DeFi the reason we?ve been gaining major traction this summer.

Wow Link is not stopping. I had to take some profit $15. Learned from past losses. Nothing goes straight up forever? Except maybe CHAINLINK!

Ok I did the coinbase thing a year ago through my England bank as per your advice. Thanks for that.. But now I got no clue what you are saying about Aave, Y earn, fees accrued and vaults. I did put half my stuff into a coinbase vault recently although I have no idea what the difference is. So what I am supposed to do now in normal talk?

Sorry I don?t frequent the site as often these days.

All the options I listed all come with risk.
Farming was good but has dwindled to tiny apy
Safest options are liquidity pools with ETH/USDT or ETH/USDC. You want USD as one of the pairs to minimize impermeable loss. Your hoping for ETH to gain value while it?s in the LP. if eth is $350 the pool splits your total amount invested between the 2 pairs in USD value. So if u got $10k it?s buying $5k worth of eth and $5 worth USDT. As long as ETH is above $350 you don?t lose any money. Above $350 you are making $.
I use uniswap but you can do bancor or balancer too. Bancor now offers single sided liquidity but I have not used it.

Today you can use Celsius network as your wallet and make 4.6% apy interest on your LINK.
It?s like aave but you need to get verified. Also NEXO too but I have not used it.
Pays out weekly. Im still waiting for a pc version. It?s only for mobile app today. It?s suppose to be released though. They?ve announced that a few times.

https://www.jpmorgan.com/onyx/liink.htm

Christine Moy is running this project for JPM.
She also has a working relationship on CanDID with Ari
https://www.arijuels.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/

Christine moy connected with Fan Zhang and Ari
>worked on CanDID together using DECO
>DECO owned by Chainlink
>Fan and Ari hired by Chainlink
>JP quorum acquired by Consensys
>Interbank Information Network run on quorum now called Liink operates by Christine Moy
>Liink needs CanDID
>DECO runs CanDID
>Chainlink is DECO

More pieces of the puzzle. More bullish news. Hold tight.

Identity system: CanDID leverages an oracle? specifically, either DECO [84] or Town Crier [83]?to port identities and credentials securely from existing web services. These services can be social media platforms, online bank accounts, e-mail accounts, etc. The oracles used by CanDID allow it to scrape websites in order to construct trustworthy credentials without providers needing to explicitly create DID-compatible credentials or even be aware of CanDID, easing the way for ecosystem bootstrapping.

Holy.....sorry I asked! haha Guess I'm doing nothing and I will just wait until you advise to sell. That making interest while it sits sounds good but I only have chainlink with coinbase (UK funded).

DIP(etherisc) and UBT look interesting.

UBT and Baseline Protocol will be doing a demonstration for coke cola bottling company on December 10th.
