Just looking over 4th round matchups at Pinnacle, and two strike me as a bit off:

Allenby +100 Choi
Lehman -105 Andrade

Allenby is a bit better than Choi overall, and especially in fourth rounds. He has averaged 1.1 strokes better in the fourth round than his overall scoring average this year, vs. Choi, who has been 0.8 strokes worse than normal in fourth rounds. Their head-to-head fourth rounds support these statistics: Allenby is 6-3 vs. Choi in common fourth rounds in 2003, and the matchups haven't been all that close, with Allenby winning by an average of 3.3 strokes.

Similarly, Lehman is slightly better than Andrade overall and is 1.0 strokes better than normal in fourth rounds, vs. 0.6 strokes worse than normal for Andrade. Head-to-head, Lehman is 3-0-1 vs. Andrade in fourth rounds in 2003, with an average margin of two strokes. I hate laying anything in single-round matchups -- even -105 -- so this one is not as appealing to me as the Allenby play.

Haas/Ogilvey win

4th rd
Ames -115 over C Paulson @ 5 Dimes
Mismatch in almost all pertinent catagories

Furyk -135 over Perry Oly cont (currently tied)
Have to think Furyk has had some bad beats this tourney ranking 1st in fairways hit and 16th in GIR's and having such a paltry score but Kennys stats here pretty impressive for his score also. Major factor to bite off this amount is Furyk final rd sco ave ranking 2nd and putting stats vs Perrys.

B Pappas +100 over Kuboya B&W (ties lose)
Hate ties lose in rd by rd especially and will prob get thumped on posting play on Pappas but he has been a world beater in final rd this year and is the only player with better final rd scoring than Furyk @ 68.67 and compared to Kuboya's 72.41 I'll go on the ties lose at even money.

Final update:

Matchups: 5-1-0; +4.75 units

Allenby/Lickliter WON by 5
Furyk/Love WON by 6
Furyk/Toms LOST by 1
Sluman/Parnevik WON by 1
Ames/Paulson WON by 6
Perry/Mediate WON (Mediate wd)

Outrights: 2-1; +1.43 units

Choi 5th
Toms 37th
Allenby 6th

Nice profit on the event thanks to Allenby's last hole birdie to break out of the tie for the last place places. Choi had to share 5th with six others so won't even get back half the original stake, but with all three outright selections inside the top-11 with one round to play, it was the least return I was hoping to get. The matchups continue to be profitable.

DTB, nice week again :spotting:

I get your outrights this week at 1-3; -1.43 units (assuming they were all 1 unit total stake).

The return on Haas should be 18/7 * stake [1/7*stake @ 17/1], giving a profit of 1.57 units for a 1 unit stake.
