I'm kinda thinkin CP is sick and tired of getting knocked around by the Spurs year after year. Just seems like every season they have been a thorn in his side going back to his years in NO. He certainly seemed to play with a chip on his shoulder last night and stepped up big in the 4th quarter after shooting horribly for the first three. He's the best player on the floor in this series and he knows the time is now for this team. Not predicting championship here, though I like either team's chances against the Rockets in the next round, but Saturday's opportunity to knock out the big bad Spurs from the playoffs just might mean more to this franchise than any other game in its history and I wouldn't want to get in the way of that. BOL to those that choose to play this coin flip of a game before tip.

Clippers - Chris Paul, Hamstring - is highly questionable Monday (5/4) at Houston.

IE Clippers playing tonight? I thought they were eliminated in Game 6 vs the Spurs this past Thursday..:0corn...The Eastern Conference is a joke this year...The Finals should be all Western Conference with Golden State playing the Clippers, Rockets, or the Spurs this year.:00hour

Brad Turner: James Harden on CP3 "We?ve got to prepare like he?s playing. He was injured most of that Game 7 and he still led them to victory.? Twitter @BA_Turner

Ben Bolch: Doc Rivers said he would listen to trainer more closely than Chris Paul, who would probably say he could play even if he shouldn't. Twitter @latbbolch

Sounds like a true GTD

Windhorst of ESPN is too busy following Lebron James around the country to watch basketball. Let's see if the King can win a championship without Wade and Pat Riley in the weak East.

Not sure what that has to do with the Clippers, but I think the Cavs will handle the Bulls in this series a more easily than everyone thinks. The Bulls don't seem to play with the kind of consistency and symmetry (a la Spurs) needed to beat LeBron & Co. in a 7 game series. The two losses in the Bucks series were very telling, IMO.

Clippers guard Chris Paul out for Game 1 with hamstring injury
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
Clippers point guard Chris Paul is out for Monday's Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Rockets, coach Doc Rivers said per the L.A. Times.

Paul suffered a hamstring injury in Game 7 of Los Angeles' opening round series against the Spurs, but was able to remain in the game. Rivers said it was not worth the risk to play Paul, particularly in the series opener.

Paul is averaging 22.7 points and 7.9 assists per game in the postseason this year. The Clippers are currently 7-point underdogs against Houston.

Didn't see Griffin playing like that this evening. He was playing out of his skin. I guess the Houston D isn't as good as the Spurs D.

pretty much the biggest choke-job in the history of the NBA playoffs, considering both the 3-1 series lead and the 19 point 2nd half lead in game 6 - hard to believe that these guys weren't even running back on defense considering the stakes
