yes. i do. and one day at the grocery store with my dad we checked out and he pulled out his checkbook.. and i grabbed it and ripped that sumbitch in half and spent the rest of the day taking over his checking and banking accounts and getting him a debit card and credit card so he cant ever write a check at the store again.

Canada
In Canada I have never seen anyone pay for anything with a personal cheque (notice spelling....lol). Only exception is paying rent.

If anyone pulled out a personal cheque at a grocery store here in Canada the cashier wouldn't know what the hell it was:scared

Perhaps USA is in some time-warp, I didn't even know personal cheques existed:shrug:

one of the truly great financial tools of our time...

/btw..i hate those automated check-outs....especially the ones in home improvement stores...

"Clogged drains, express lanes, and donkeys"

Marine, I like your writing style. But I'm still trying to figure out if this thread is written as a mystery :mj03:  Do we make the association that the "donkey" part of the headliner is the schmuck being an ass? Is the whole "check" part just foreshadowing of the said word and really meant to be a "check list" for your readers??

'Clogged drains' ....... check
'Express lanes' ....... check
'Donkeys'
'Donkeys'
'Donkeys'

And then it dawned on me as I was watching the evening news. It always grabs your attention when the newcasters announce, "The following video is disturbing and not suitable for young audiences."

The clip was prefaced by the story of an upset man from the dairy state (the name of the state was not disclosed, probably to protect the cheeseheads who do not condone this activity)who was so irritated with what had transpired inside the store that he stormed out the backdoor kurby

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDbNuJ25ZzU&NR=1

I don't approve of the way the media titled the film, and if you look closely at the beginning you can see ....

"Man exits rear door
Donkey enters rear door"

Disclaimer / Before I get labeled by anyone as being a sicko, please review marine's fantasy thread about the thrills of a strap-on :mj07:

:00x33 I think I solved the 'donkey part' of the story :00hour

a donkey is a term for a person. a person who acts like a donkey.

Check the forum rules as well. Posters with less than 500 posts are not allowed to reference the strap on thread.

The check book thingy gets me everytime, it will be this person with 2000 things in there cart in an express lane to pay for the all of this by check. Um hello, there is this thing called a debit card, who in their right mind should want to carry a check book with them. Absolutely painful, huge pet peeve.....

I agree all of it is a pian in the butt but,

Him: *looks a little nervous now* here man, you want to go ahead of me?

Me: no that's ok, you got your spot in line, I thought that maybe you just didn't see THAT BIG SIGN WITH RED LETTERS THAT SAYS 20 ITEMS OR LESS.

people around start to giggle and look over at this point.

Him: man, here, go ahead of me. I insist.

Me: no way, get up there and finish waste everyone's time.

Why didn't you just go ahead of him when he offered?

My sink drain was clogged over the weekend also, I went to Lowe's got the pipes and plumbed both sinks when it was only the side that we use for the dishes to dry that was clogged. Best part was there was no one in line at the store.:mj07: This is true, not a joke. Tried draino once but didn't solve the problem so I thought hell might as well redue the whole thing.
