Giannis gets 3rd triple-double, Bucks rout Knicks 123-102

NEW YORK (AP) Giannis Antetokounmpo had 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in his third triple-double of the season, and the Milwaukee Bucks followed their big victory over the Lakers by routing the New York Knicks 123-102 on Saturday night.

Avoiding any letdown two nights after winning a showdown against Los Angeles for the NBA's best record, the Bucks (26-4) made their first six 3-pointers and opened a big early lead that grew to 29 points.

Antetokounmpo had secured his triple-double by midway through the third quarter after playing just 23 minutes.

Khris Middleton scored 23 points and Kyle Korver had 17 for the Bucks, who are playing without starters Wesley Matthews and Eric Bledsoe because of right leg injuries. They didn't miss them at all.

Julius Randle had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Knicks, who lost for the second straight night.

76ERS 125, WIZARDS 108

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Joel Embiid had 21 points and 13 rebounds and Josh Richardson added 21 points to lead Philadelphia over Washington.

Ben Simmons had 14 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds for the 76ers, who snapped a three-game losing streak overall and a two-game skid at home.

Bradley Beal had 36 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Wizards. Washington has lost three in a row and nine of 11. Isaiah Thomas added 20 points, but was ejected with 2:53 remaining for going into the stands.

Philadelphia suffered its first two home losses in its last two times out, Wednesday against Miami and Friday versus Dallas. Both teams used zone defenses that neutralized Philadelphia's offense.

BULLS 119, PISTONS 107

DETROIT (AP) - Zach LaVine scored 33 points and Coby White added 19 to help Chicago outlast short-handed Detroit.

The Pistons were without Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose, and the Bulls pulled away late thanks to LaVine's outside shooting. He and White made five 3-pointers apiece.

Detroit has lost four straight.

Andre Drummond had 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Pistons, who swept the season series against Chicago in 2018-19 but have lost the first three meetings with the Bulls this season.

Griffin has been dealing with an illness, and Rose missed the game with left knee soreness.

NETS 122, HAWKS 112

NEW YORK (AP) - Spencer Dinwiddie scored 39 points and Brooklyn overcame a 47-point performance by Trae Young and beat Atlanta.

Garrett Temple added 25 points, and DeAndre Jordan had 12 points and a season-high 20 rebounds for Brooklyn.

Alex Len had 23 points and 14 rebounds for Atlanta, which lost its seventh straight game.

JAZZ 114, HORNETS 107

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Bojan Bogdanovic scored 26 points, Rudy Gobert had 17 points and 19 rebounds and Utah beat Charlotte for its fifth straight victory.

Donovan Mitchell added 20 points for the Jazz (18-11), and Joe Ingles had 14 points, including two pivotal 3s in the fourth quarter. Jazz coach Quin Snyder was ejected midway through the fourth quarter after arguing for a foul call.

Terry Rozier had 29 points and Devonte Graham added 22 points for Charlotte (13-19).

GRIZZLIES 119, KINGS 115

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 18 points, Jae Crowder added 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Memphis beat Sacramento.

Seven Grizzlies reached double figures in points, including Dillon Brooks, with 16. Grayson Allen and Ja Morant had 13 each as Memphis snapped a two-game losing streak.

Harrison Barnes led the Kings with 25 points, while De'Aaron Fox scored 22. Richaun Holmes had 18 points and 12 rebounds.

CLIPPERS 134, SPURS 109

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Kawhi Leonard had 26 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in three quarters and won in San Antonio for the first time since leaving the franchise.

Leonard was 11 for 16 from the field with four steals and two turnovers in setting a hurried pace the Spurs were unable to match.

Los Angeles had six players in double figures, including 21 by Montrezl Harrell and 20 by Lou Williams. Paul George finished with 11 points.

DeMar DeRozan, who had 13 points on 6-for-7 shooting in the first quarter, finished with 24 points to lead San Antonio. Marco Belinelli added 17 points.

ROCKETS 139, SUNS 125

PHOENIX (AP) - James Harden scored 47 points, Russell Westbrook added 30 and Houston beat Phoenix.

The Rockets won for the 10th time in 13 games and improved to 20-9.

Harden shot 15 of 27 from the field, including 9 of 19 from 3-point range. He leads the NBA with 38.5 points per game and blew past that number with his fourth quarter outburst, hitting his quartet of 3s in a span of about three minutes.

Westbrook added 10 assists, and Clint Capela had 14 points and 17 rebounds.

The Suns have lost six straight games and fell to 11-18. Kelly Oubre Jr. led Phoenix with 26 points, and Devin Booker had 19. All five starters scored in double digits for just the third time this season.

Raptors use biggest rally in franchise history to beat Mavs

TORONTO (AP) Kyle Lowry had 32 points and 10 assists, Chris Boucher scored a career-high 21 points and the Toronto Raptors overturned a 30-point deficit to beat the Dallas Mavericks 110-107 on Sunday, the biggest comeback in franchise history and the NBA's largest in a decade.

Lowry had one fewer point in the fourth quarter (20) than the Mavericks managed as a team (21).

It was the first 30-point comeback in the NBA since Sacramento beat Chicago on Dec. 21, 2009, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 18 points and Fred VanVleet had 10 as the short-handed Raptors won their fifth straight and improved to 13-3 at home, ending the Mavericks' seven-game road winning streak.

Kristaps Porzingis had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Jalen Brunson scored 21 points as Dallas dropped to 2-2 without guard Luka Doncic, who sat for the fourth straight game because of a sprained right ankle.

NUGGETS 128, LAKERS 104

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Paul Millsap scored 21 points and Denver dominated the second half in defeating LeBron James-less Los Angeles for its sixth straight win.

Gary Harris added 19 points, Nikola Jokic had 18 points, Malik Beasley had 16 points and Will Barton III had 14 points and a career-high-tying 13 rebounds for the Nuggets, who pulled away to a 23-point lead early in the fourth.

James missed his first game of the season because of a thoracic muscle strain. That left the Lakers without his 25.8 point average.

With James looking on in street clothes, Anthony Davis did his best to make up for it with 32 points and 11 rebounds. He scored 11 points playing all 12 minutes of the first quarter.

Kyle Kuzma was the only other Laker in double figures with 16 points, having returned after missing five games with a sprained left ankle. Western Conference-leading Los Angeles lost its third in a row.

THUNDER 118, CLIPPERS 112

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander matched his career high with 32 points and Oklahoma City rallied to beat the Clippers.

Oklahoma City came back from 18 points down in the second quarter. It's the third time in seven days the Thunder overcame a deficit that big to win.

Paul George scored 18 points in his first game back in Oklahoma City since being traded from the Thunder to the Clippers.

Los Angeles scoring leader Kawhi Leonard sat out because of left knee soreness.

Dennis Schroder scored 28 points and Steven Adams added 20 points and 17 rebounds to help the Thunder win their fourth straight.

Lou Williams scored 22 points for Los Angeles, and Montrezl Harrell had 18.

BUCKS 117, PACERS 89

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Giannis Antetokounmpo had 18 points, 19 rebounds and nine assists, and the Bucks spoiled Malcolm Brogdon's return to Milwaukee.

Wesley Matthews scored 19 points for NBA-leading Milwaukee, which has won three in a row. Brook Lopez and George Hill each had 17 points.

Brogdon was drafted by Milwaukee and spent his first three seasons with the Bucks before he was acquired by Indiana in a sign-and-trade deal over the summer. He finished with 10 points on 5-of-19 shooting and 10 assists.

CELTICS 119, HORNETS 93

BOSTON (AP) - Jayson Tatum had a career-high 39 points and 12 rebounds, Kemba Walker scored 23 points against his former team, and Boston beat Charlotte.

Tatum eclipsed his previous high of 34 points against Brooklyn on Jan. 14. Jaylen Brown added 16 points and nine rebounds, and rookie Grant Williams added 12 points off the bench for the Celtics. Boston has won three straight and seven of nine.

Devonte' Graham had 23 points and 10 assists, Bismack Biyombo scored 18 and Miles Bridges 15 to lead the Hornets. Charlotte has dropped three straight and four of five.

Terry Rozier scored 14 for the Hornets in his return to Boston. He left the team in free agency last summer.

Warren, Turner lead Brogdon-less Pacers past Raptors

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) T.J. Warren and Myles Turner scored 24 points apiece, Aaron Holiday sank two 3-pointers late and the Indiana Pacers outlasted the Toronto Raptors 120-115 in overtime on Monday night.

Holiday, who started at point guard for the injured Malcolm Brogdon, hit a 3-pointer to give the Pacers a 116-113 lead with 2:05 remaining in overtime. Then he drained another for a 119-115 advantage with 54 seconds remaining.

Holiday finished with 19 points, including 5 of 10 on 3-pointers. The Pacers (21-10) hit 18 of 42 from beyond the arc. The Raptors (21-9), who had a five-game win streak snapped, were just 11 of 40 on 3-pointers.

Raptors guard Kyle Lowry led all scorers with 30 points. Serge Ibaka added 23 and Fred VanVleet 21 for the defending NBA champions.

Both teams missed potential game-winning shots in the final minute of regulation. as Holiday's layup was too long off the glass before Lowry's last-second 3-pointer bounced off the front of the rim.

HEAT 107, JAZZ 104

MIAMI (AP) - Jimmy Butler scored 20 points, Bam Adebayo added 18 points and 12 rebounds and Miami beat Utah to improve the NBA's best home record to 13-1.

Tyler Herro scored nine of his 17 points in the fourth for Miami. Goran Dragic scored 15 for Miami, which got 11 from Meyers Leonard and 10 from Kendrick Nunn.

Miami outrebounded the Jazz 55-46 and ended Utah's season-best five-game winning streak.

Joe Ingles scored a season-high 27 for Utah, which got within three points with about six seconds left on a putback slam by Rudy Gobert. But Butler hit a pair of free throws for Miami moments later, sealing the outcome.

ROCKETS 113, KINGS 104

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - James Harden scored 34 points, Russell Westbrook had 28 and Houston overcame one of its worst fourth quarters of the season to beat Sacramento.

Clint Capela added 15 points and 14 rebounds as the Rockets won their seventh straight on the road.

Two weeks after losing to the Kings on Nemanja Bjelica's buzzer-beating 33-footer, the Rockets squandered most of a 25-point lead before holding on at the end.

De'Aaron Fox had 31 points, nine rebounds and six assists for Sacramento. Richaun Holmes added 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Kings have lost four straight.

76ERS 125, PISTONS 109

DETROIT (AP) - Tobias Harris scored 35 points against his former team and Ben Simmons had a triple-double as Philadelphia beat Detroit.

Joel Embiid had 20 points and eight rebounds for the 76ers, who improved to 11-4 in their last 15 games. Simmons finished with 16 points, a career-high 17 assists and 13 rebounds, while reserve Furkan Korkmaz added a career-high 21 points.

Andre Drummond had 27 for the Pistons, who have lost five in a row. Blake Griffin, who had missed the previous two games with knee soreness, scored eight points on 2-for-14 shooting.

PELICANS 102, TRAIL BLAZERS 94

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Jrue Holiday scored 21 points, Brandon Ingram had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and New Orleans capitalized on Damian Lillard's shooting struggles to beat Portland.

Carmelo Anthony had 23 points and nine rebounds but Portland had its four-game winning streak snapped. Hassan Whiteside added 16 rebounds and 11 points.

Portland's backcourt duo of Lillard and CJ McCollum was a combined 2 for 20 from the 3-point line. Lillard had an especially tough night, going 0 for 10 beyond the arc, the first time in his career that he's failed to make a 3-pointer while attempting at least seven.

SPURS 145, GRIZZLIES 115

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - LaMarcus Aldridge scored a season-high 40 points, DeMar DeRozan added 26 points and 10 assists, and San Antonio Spurs shot 67% from the field to rout Memphis.

Trey Lyles finished with 17 points and Dejounte Murray scored 14 for the Spurs. The point total and shooting percentage were season bests for San Antonio.

Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 22 points for Memphis, while rookie Ja Morant finished with 19. Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points and 12 rebounds as Memphis lost for the third time in the last four.

The Spurs were uncanny in their shooting accuracy from the start, connecting at 79% in the first quarter - and that included missing their final two shots in the period. The 46 points by the Spurs in the first were the most ever surrendered by the Grizzlies in a quarter.

NUGGETS 113, SUNS 111

PHOENIX (AP) - Jamal Murray had 28 points, including a tiebreaking jumper with 3.2 seconds left, Nikola Jokic finished with a triple-double and Denver rallied past Phoenix.

The Nuggets extended their winning streak to seven games while the Suns have lost seven in row.

The teams traded clutch shots in the final moments. First it was Murray who hit a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left to push Denver ahead 111-108. Two seconds later, Devin Booker nailed a 3-pointer off an inbounds play to tie it.

Murray had one more big shot in him, making a jumper just inside the 3-point line.

Jokic had 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for his seventh triple-double this season.

Ricky Rubio scored 21 points for the Suns.

MAGIC 103, BULLS 95

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Terrence Ross scored a season-high 26 points to help Orlando beat Chicago and break a three-game losing streak.

Zach LaVine led Chicago with 26 points on 8-of-26 shooting, but the Bulls managed only 14 points in the fourth quarter. Tomas Satoransky added 20 points and was 4 of 5 on 3-point shots.

Nikola Vucevic had 21 points and seven rebounds for Orlando, which blocked 13 shots and held the Bulls to 31% shooting in the second half. Jonathan Isaac finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks.

CAVALIERS 121, HAWKS 118

CLEVELAND (AP) - Collin Sexton scored 25 points, rookie Darius Garland had 21 and Cleveland held off a late Atlanta comeback.

Trae Young scored 30 points, but his 3-pointer that would have tied the game in the closing seconds hit off the front of the rim and sent Atlanta to its eighth straight defeat.

Kevin Love had 20 points for Cleveland, which has won three straight for the first time since taking five in a row from March 28 to April 5, 2018.

Garland and Kevin Porter Jr., another rookie, helped Cleveland build a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter.

WIZARDS 121, KNICKS 115

NEW YORK (AP) - Bradley Beal scored 30 points, Troy Brown Jr. added 26 off the bench and short-handed Washington outlasted New York.

Ish Smith added 17 and Anzej Pasecniks chipped in 14 for the Wizards, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Julius Randle had 35 points and reserve Damyean Dotson added 19 for New York, which lost its third straight game.

The Wizards only dressed nine players for the game and were playing without Isaiah Thomas, who served the first of a two-game suspension for entering the stands to confront a fan during Saturday night's game in Philadelphia.

13) Lamar Jackson isn?t playing for the Ravens Sunday; they?ve already clinched the #1 seed in the AFC, so Jackson and some of his friends will take Sunday off when the Steelers come calling.

Robert Griffin III will get the start at QB for Baltimore; if that doesn?t send you running to the casino to wager on Pittsburgh, I?m not sure what would. Griffin is 15-25 as an NFL starter, 6-19 in his last 25 games. His last NFL start was three years ago.

12) Other NFL stuff:
? Case Keenum will start at QB for injured Dwayne Haskins (ankle) for Washington Sunday.

10) Tennessee Vols officially announced the addition of Santiago Vescovi, a point guard from Uruguay who most recently played for the NBA Global Academy in Australia.

18-year-old Vescovi signed with Tennessee November 22. He will join the team this weekend, is awaiting standard NCAA, Southeastern Conference clearance protocols before becoming eligible to play in games, which probably won?t come until early January.

9) Kawhi Leonard?s agent is a guy named Mitch Frankel who doesn?t represent any other active NBA players. That is pretty unusual, an agent with one client.

8) Miami Marlins have C/1B Francisco Cervelli a one-year deal worth $2M.

7) 2B Cesar Hernandez signed a one-year deal with Cleveland worth $6M.

6) Mets gave P Dellin Betances a one-year deal worth $10.5M, wth the chance to get up to $13M, with incentives.

5) New Mexico Lobos suspended two starters, F Carlton Bragg, PG JJ Caldwell indefinitely,

Bragg, a team captain, transferred from Kansas in January 2018, is averaging 13.7 ppg, 10.8 rag and 1.4 blocks/game this season.Caldwell leads the Mountain West in assists at 5.7 per game, and averages 5.8 points per game.

4) NFL home favorites are 54-89-6 ATS this season.
Road favorites are 48-41-2 ATS.

3) This is how the Oakland Raiders can still make the playoffs:
? Raiders win in Denver.
? Colts win in Jacksonville.

2) Merry Christmas to this guy: A customer at a William Hill sports book in Las Vegas turned a $5 bet into a $100,000 jackpot when he went a perfect 15-for-15 on the William Hill $100,000 Parlay Card this past weekend.

Guy had to sweat the Dolphins blowing a 34-12 lead in the last 6:21 of regulation, then waiting until the last play of OT to kick the winning FG.
