Today is July 4th, Independence Day, which commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence, which declared that the 13 colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the King of England.
We’re lucky to live in this country; hopefully at this time next year, this country will still be a democracy. The alternative isn’t good.
