Commanders at Texans (SPREAD: WAS -3)
“I’m going to take the Texans +3, it’s actually an easy pick. Davis Mills at home [for his career] has been really good— 19 touchdowns, 6 picks, 100 passer rating. Dameon Pierce has been a FIND at running back, leads the NFL in broken tackles and leads all rookies in rushing yards. They could control the line of scrimmage. The Commanders are coming off a highly emotional win on a short week and now travel. They ran 81 plays last week. Their offense this season is a BB gun. Taylor Heinicke, I know you all love him, on 3rd and 4th down completes only 59% of his throws. I think the Texans win straight out, take the three points, Texans win 28-24.”
Colin's prediction: Texans 28, Commanders 24.
Colin's pick: Houston +3 Loser
Raiders at Broncos (SPREAD: DEN -3)
“I like the Raiders +3. Derek Carr and Davante Adams the last two weeks are working, that’s not the issue. The last two weeks Adams is first in targets, receptions, and tied for second in touchdown receptions. The Broncos offense is TERRIBLE, it’s the worst in the league, it’s the second worst on 3rd down, and now Jerry Jeudy is out. This reminds me of those Arizona and Seattle games this year where Seattle was the better team and Vegas gave Arizona points. The Raiders are losing close this year, and the Broncos are awful. I’m going to take the Raiders +3 to win straight out, 24-17.”
Colin's prediction: Raiders 24, Broncos 17.
Colin's pick: Las Vegas +3 Win
Cowboys at Vikings (SPREAD: DAL -1.5)
“Like it? I LOVE IT, I’ll take the Cowboys. Their offense in back-to-back games has averaged 400+ total yards. Tony Pollard is now averaging 6 yards a carry, leads all running backs in the NFL. Yes, we know the Cowboys defense is great but this is a big game. Kirk Cousins against the Cowboys [for his career] has been TERRIBLE, 2-8. They’re a team, Minnesota, each of their last seven wins have come by one possession— that is incredibly random. If you keep winning one possession games, eventually you lose them. Love the Cowboys to win straight out, 30-27.”
Colin's prediction: Cowboys 30, Vikings 27.
Colin's pick: Dallas -1.5 Win
Bengals at Steelers (SPREAD: CIN -3.5)
“The hook scares people but not me, I’m going to take the Bengals -3.5. The Bengals are coming off a bye, and they’re the NFL’s number one scoring offense since Week 6. Burrow since Week 2 has been number two in the league in completions, passer rating, and TD/INT. The Steelers, meanwhile, Kenny Pickett, let’s be honest, this year he has two touchdown and eight picks. Last week he looked better because he came off a bye, this week the better quarterback gets the bye. Kenny Pickett doesn’t have the prep time, Minkah Fitzpatrick might not play, I think this could get ugly, it is a complete mismatch of quarterbacks here, Bengals win and cover 28-23.”
Colin's prediction: Bengals 28, Steelers 23.
Colin's pick: Cincinnati -3.5 Win
Chiefs at Chargers (SPREAD: KC -5)
“I don’t trust the Chargers much but I’m going to take the Chargers +5. The Chiefs are falling apart. Justin Herbert and the Chargers have played very well in this matchup, and they’re finally getting healthy— Keenan Allen, Mike Williams. Herbert against the Chiefs for his career has 13 touchdowns and only 3 picks. The Chiefs defense on the backend is the second-worst in the league, and they are falling apart. Juju Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman are out. They say Valdes-Scantling will play but he’s not 100%. I get a desperate team at home playing with ultimate urgency. I like the Chargers. This goes down to the last play, I’ll take Mahomes, but I think it’s 31-30 Chiefs, I’m absolutely taking the points and the Chargers here."
Colin's prediction: Chiefs 31, Chargers 30.
Colin's pick: Los Angeles +5 Win
