Texas St -8.5 over Eastern Mich ++
Opening nite and with all the transfers,portals etc its so much harder to keep track of players and where they are showing up . Brandon Love the 6'9 post player who I have seen improve so much with his post play,turn around soft touch glass swish, power fd move , two fakes going up ,footwork My 1st thought was God knows how many hours you spent on the low post setting screen and rolling to the basket has transferred to another school . you developed so much at Tex St and finally you have become a force inside and you transfer. Not sure what the other school offered you but I'm old school and they developed you into a solid D-1 post player. I don't know why you transferred but to think of all the time the coaches spent time working on your development and you transfer. I was really excited to see your game this year and your improvement . But you are gone and to think of all the time the Tx St coaches worked with you low post moves. . Siena +2,5 over Brown ** Should really not play any of these games the 1st week due to the many new transfers portals players etc See how these teams " gel". together

Pitino and the Johnnies didn't get an invite to the big dance so think he has his team really psyched and all out. Not sure Rams can match up with the Johnnies Going to the Tx St game tonight

Going to the season opener .Early games are hard to capp because trying to keep up with all the new players transfers portals etc I handicapp the following but all are small plays . The lines seem off but its probably my lines that are off not Vegas odds . All small plays

Johnnies -18.5 over Fordham **

love Posh Alexander and Pitino Johnnies felt they got snubbed from an invite to " big dance" last year. Think Pitino and his boys come out smoking Rams always play tough vs crosstown rival since Johnnies steal all the NYC headlines in newspapers and TV. Think adding Richmond to Johnnies gives them more scoring power. Johnnies have some air craft carriers inside and Rams will have a tough time matching up on defense.

St Bonnies -8 over Cal Northridge **

Temple -14 over Sacred Heart **

URI-11.5 over Fairfield **

Hit the transfer portal big time Thomas is back from transferring and will lead Rams over the Stags Stags have all new gds and could take some time playing together.



Quinnipac + 8.5 over Yale **

Look out for the Bobcats. Could be the best team in the MAAC. Two Conn schools and Quinn takes this game a lot more serious then the Bulldogs . Quinn has 2 fds that can rebound and score . Yale best player transferred to Michigan and think Quinn can keep this close.

Texas -1.5 over Ohio St **

Think Texas has the talent to match up with the Buckee's . Texas lost a lot but Pope is making everyone making forget the other stars that are gone The key is to get Shedrick their 6'11 player who was backup to step up to play the post and be a scorer inside. Buckeyes have the size inside and are physical Should be a close game and give the edge to Texas at home.

Harvard -3,5 over Marist **

Iona +12 over Princeton **

Zaga _6 over Baylor ***

Like the zaga's offense and Baylor D could have problems

Think all these games should be played very very lightly since many of these teams are really unknown and many teams have 3 or more starters playing in a new systems new teammates new colleges new dorms etc Its going to be interesting to sit and watch Tex St tonite . Almost all new starters Dru might be out But I can sit anywhere I want in the Bobcats Staduim only a row or two from the court. going with Eastern Mich defense will have trouble vs Bobcats offense. Miss some of my favorite Tex St Players esp the big kid Love who I have seen from a 6'5 freshman to a 6'10 power fd down low. HE transferred to Nevada and really thought he would lead the Bobcats to a Sun conf title But thats the transfer portal for you again really shouldn't play any of these games because its so early in the season Should get a few games under your belt to really handicapp the proper way.. But good luck tonite for everyone . Love going to these games when the gym is almost empty and I can sit anywhere I want in row 3 or 4 court side. It's like me going to the Marist games in Poughkeepsie ..
