Can honestly say that though I disagree with many of his stances, it sure will be nice to get the issue of race behind use as far as Presidential elections go. Hopefully from here out it will only be about the issues. Bask in your victory! You have the House, Senate , and Presidency, lets see what you can do!

If you want to say 'congrats', whatever, but don't act like somehow he benefited from his race or that he used race to win. Neither is true.
Being black or a woman is the biggest hindrance to winning this office and it's beyond belief.
So roll your eyes all you want, but it sure wasn't some sort of inherent advantage that he was black. Quite the opposite.
Matt, I think you are misreading his original post. I read it as him saying the country as a whole can put the race issue behind it in presidential elections, not that he used race... :shrug:
thanks UGA, I hope the country is able to recover from the last 8 years of being led through the wilderness by a blind leader. I hope Obama tries to bridge the partisan gap and names some key GOP players as members of his staff.
