Argentina -1 -125

400 to win 320 +320 Winner

Agentina ML
250 to win 100 +100 Winner

Jumped on this one now. The official rosters are out and it will be a blood bath. This line should shoot up. Arg. is bringing a ton of firepower. No Tim Howard in goal to slow the shelling Argentina will be bringing down on the US and the US's already anemic offense will not have its best players - Donovan, Beasley, Dempsey. Not to mention no Bocanegra, Maestroni, etc.

This tournament is going to be impossible to handicap. I don't think any of the countries really care. Having said that, Argentina is as good a pick as any.

Yeah, it will be tricky, but what the heck.

Taking a couple props:

Top Scorer in Copa
Forlan 50 to win 500
Crespo 25 to win 63

Uruguay has the easiest group with a few teams that are not so hot in defense. Hopefully he can put a few past Bolivia, Venez. & Peru and at least get to the Semi's. Brazil has so many goal scorers, hopefully they will spread the wealth. Taking Crespo to cover the Forlan bet.

To Win Copa:
Uruguay +950
50 to win 475

Today:
Uruguay
60 to win 50 -60 Loss
Insurance:
Uru Draw/U2.5
12 to win 60 -12 Loss

Tough to tell motivations in this tourney, but I think Uruguay will be taking it serious as they have in the past and have a strong team assembled. Can't see them not getting out of their weak group and most likely in 1st. At +950, I think its a good value for a team that should be one of the final 4 teams. Dont kow much about Peru, but they do have some strong players and have played Uru well head to head in the past few years, but Uruguay's more recent form has been good, Peru's, not so. Taking a small shot on Uru and covering it with the draw/under.

Tough start. Peru played amazing. A couple incredible goals. I dont think Peru is that good or Uruguay that bad. Hopefully Uru isnt too shattered by the upset and bounces back against a couple bad teams.

I gotta heavy up on Brazil today even though the odds have gotten worse:

Brazil ML
200 to win 100-200 Loss

Mex has great history vs Brazil and in this tourney, but with the way they have played recently, their quick turnaround time and injuries, I just can't see any other outcome.

Peru Pk
100 to win 100 -100 Loss

Uruguary -1
65 to win 50 Push

Peru & Uruguay playing the 2 worst sides in S America. Uruguay has to get its sh*t togther after the beating they took from Peru and Peru is playing really well obvioiusly.

FLAPJACK,

YOU THINK PERU WILL WIN THIS GAME? MY BOOK DON'T HAVE PK FOR THEM! THIS IS THE LINE!

743. Peru +160 ov 2? -130
744. Venezuela +145 un 2? -110
745. Draw +220

I think they should be favored even with the game being in Venzuela, so +160 is a good value in my opinion. The crowd didn't seem to be much of a factor in Ven's first game. I still dont think Peru is a better team than Uruguay despite the 3-0 win. Everything went perfect for them. But, they are a definate cut above Venzuela and there's no doubt they are playing well. Just worry a little about a let down after the big upset.

You can always create your own pick em line with those lines above if you take Peru +160 and then enough to cover the peru bet on the draw line. Not sure you will be able to get to even, but maybe close?

Also, keep in mind, that I've been on the wrong side more than the right so far in the this tourney!

Adding:
Urugauy ML
83 to win 50 +50 Winner

Urugauy -1
50 to win 55 Push

Peru ML/O3 Parlay
50 to win 363 -50 Loss

Lines seem to be moving making Peru and Urugauy bets more attractive. So I'm hitting them up a little more. Hope there is not some important info I am missing.

Might have to stay away from games involving Venzuela. Red Card in the 15th minute helps the hosts move to the top of the group.

Sticking with the big teams:

Brazil -1
160 to win 100 +100 Winner
Should be plenty fired up after their embarassment.

Paraguay ML
133 to win 100 +100 Winner
This US team assembled is not very good.

Argentina -1.5 79 to win 75 +75 Winner
Hate laying -1.5, but if Paraguay hammered Colombia 5-0, Argentina should rack up the goals to keep pace with Paraguay.
