Finally back into the positive overall in the tourney.

Peru should take out some frustration on the Bolivians after that last game. They still have a chance to win the group with a win today:

Peru ML
98 to win 75 -98 Loss

Venzuela still sucks but I think the officials have helped them enough to get into the next round and may let the 2 teams play. But, both teams may decide a draw works for them so:

Uruguay PK
63 to win 50 Push

Uru Draw parlayed to U2.5
50 to win 236 +236 Winner - 0-0 suited both teams just fine

Chile +210
50 to win 105 -50 Loss

Chile U2.5 +50 Win
50 to win 50

Brazil O2.5
120 to win 75 -120 Loss

Also taking 2 parlays I like, calling them in from the road to Vegas once the book that lets me bet same game soccer parlays puts their lines up.

Will be parlaying Brazil to the over for 50 Brazil needs to win and I think Ecu has given up at this point.

50 to win ? -50 Loss

And, Chile Draw to the U2.5 100 to win a nice chunk of change. A draw is just to perfect for both these teams. Mexico wins the group with a tie (and eliminates any chance for the US to advance at the same time) and Chile will advance with a tie. Already took Chile +210 when the line came out, so hopefully if they dont play it smart, Chile takes them down.

100 to win ?+410 Winner:00hour

Taking Mexico U2.5 -150
113 to win 75 -113 Loss

Paraguay Pk +120
50 to win 60 -50 Loss

Mexico U1.5
30 to win 57 -30 Loss

Mex Draw/U2.5 Parlay
50 to win 175 -50 Loss

Para +.5/U2.5 Parlay
50 to win 77 -50 Loss

I think it should be low scoring, could go either way. Like the odds on Paraguay Pk.

Argentina -2/O3 Parlay
50 to win 183 +183 Winner

Peru 1st Half +900
20 to win 180 -20 Loss

A straight Red Card on Paraguay in the 2nd F'ing minute???? How the F does that happen? Did the Paraguay player pull out a gun or something? I guess I can tally up all of my wagers on this game as losses.

Will be pounding Argentina once that line is up. +818 for Copa America so far overall.

Bets on Argentina have all been winners +1075. Gotta keep riding that horse. They're a machine and just killing people.

Not that I think either of these plays have above a 50% chance of hitting, but the value is too good to pass up:

Brazil Draw/U2.5 Parlay
50 to win 332

Uraguay to win Copa +1250
50 to win 625

If I liked it at +950 when there where 12 teams and their best player was injured, how can I not like it at +1250 with 4 teams left? They just played their best game of the tourney smacking the hosts 4-1 and finally got a healthy Recoba back in the line-up. They got a shot and I think its better than 12.5 to 1. Dont see anybody knocking off Argentina in this, but I think Uru. has just as good a chance as Brazil or Mexico.

Sunday's Final!

Argentina has been solid as rock and Brazil has struggled.

Abbondanzieri was only mildly tested yesterday vs Mexico but was as good as he needed to be and Argentina's offensive muscle and set pieces were just great.

These two teams have met nine times in the Copa finals and Argentina has won eight and still remembers the 2004 shoot out loss. Robinho has stood out but the triumvirate of Tevez, Riquelme and Messi will be too much for Brazil this time.

I think the price is right, too.

One of my books has not adjusted the line like it should have been - its gone from +105 to -145 most places, so I'm hitting him up again at slightly worse prices:

Argentina ML -105
315 to win 300

J

I think the price is great! Argentina should crush them. Brazil was lucky to get by Urugauy - I dont think they would have if Recoba had not gone out of the game at half time. Argentina is playing great with maybe the most talented team in the world. They should be fired up to take care of Brazil.

Argentina ML +105
500 to win 525

Argentina has done nothing but win me money this tourney. Of course, Brazil has done nothing but cost me - both betting on them and against them. Something has to give!

Not really sure. 3rd place games are difficult, not sure how motivated either side will be.

To the point where I am scared that it seems so straight forward. Bookies usually dont just give away money and when something seems too good to be true, it usually is a bad sign. But, outside of mass food poisoning (or an early red card), I dont see how Argentina doesnt roll. Even the guy who took my bet told me that he hoped I won since he went heavy on them himself and predicted a 3-0 win :scared.
