Margarito pressured Cotto like hell and Cotto fought in a unfamiliar fight style.

The fight that makes me question Cotto's stamina is the Mosley fight. Mosley was a deadman from about the 5th round on. Mosley drained himself to get to 147 after fighting at 154 for several years. But with Mosley being visibly tired, Cotto faltered down the stretch. Red flag on Cotto's stamina.
More eveidence of a long distance dance fest.

I have the "goes 1.30 in the ninth rd" prop for 1.31 at 5D for a small play.

But i don't like the -290 for 9 1/5; that means you win only if it goes beyond 1.30 in the tenth; you might as well take the dec prop for Cotto ( -110) or Clottey (+1000), and you will be covered it it's a tech dec ending in the 6 rd or else...

You never know if cuts are involved ( head clashes) and the reputation of the African already cost him a TKO vs Judah.

I have a sizeable bet on the draw ( square, square....:142smilie )

Good luck. :toast:

I believe the fight is going 12 so I am not worried about it.

I hate classic boxing matchs though.

I was considering strongly taking Cotto by decision, but I have decided to hold what I have.

Only fight on schedule - HBO 1030 EST

I kinda like not having to wait on the stupid preliminary fights. Very seldom are there prelim fights I want to see.

When the clock strikes 12 midnight, I turn into a pumkin.

Last 4 posted fight wagers 4-0 + $ 3,712

Enjoyed the fight. Some concern when Cotto took the head butt as it could have been stopped at any time. But the plus side was Cotto has a big heart and the crowd was not going to be happy about him stopping the fight. Not with the Puerto Rican parade coming up. Cotto couldnt chance being behind on the scorecards.

Clottys knee was a non issue. He cried like a baby about the hit behind the head and a nut cracker.

Neither was enough to cause that kind of outcry.

To me this fight was discouraging on many levels.
Clotty is not a elite fighter in this division. He looks more like a journeyman at this stage and after the results of this fight.

Cotto fights Mayweather or Pac and he goes down like a clown bleeding like a pig on the canvas. I like his heart and agree it won me the money, but holy shit he takes too many rounds off.

Clotty was content to just brumble around. For him to not throw but 11 punchs in the 11th and 12th round was unforgivable to me. Maybe he had money on Cotto by decision.

Rematch for these two. What a waste that would be. That was not the outcome for a rematch other than to line their coffers again and for what.

That fight smelled like ass for the most part.

Never know what is going to happen in boxing. I remember not long ago losing a over the total rounds by 30 seconds. I guess it all evens out.

There is nothing funny about the fight business,
nothing.

I am starting to look at the Mayweather Jr Vs Juan Marquez fight coming up on July 18 th 2009

A 11 month layoff is no big deal and it should not affect the outcome of this fight. I dont think we have to worry about both fighters being in extreme good shape for this matchup.

Honestly I dislike Floyd Jr quite a bit and would hope to see him get a ass kicking. But that wont distract me from a winning wager.

His Daddy Floyd Sr is back in his stable and will be paid for being with him for this fight.

Mayweather, at 32 does not have that many years left to be a top contender. There is a danger in future fights of him losing and going into retirement after a huge payday.

I do not like the fact that Juan Manuel Marquez, will move up two weight classes to get his share of the riches a Mayweather fight can produce.
He will be a weaker version of himself.

When Mayweather announced his retirement last June instead of fighting a rematch against Oscar De La Hoya that made me wonder about him and his thinking.

That led to Pacquiao getting the shot that he capitalized on.
.............................................................

Mayweather, who is unbeaten in 39 fights, brushed off questions about the state of his finances, saying he made $8 million last year without having a fight and that the rumors he was in financial difficulty were just that. But the lure of many more millions was in the back of his mind as he began sparring once again in recent weeks, the itch to fight returning.

Mayweather was always well known in boxing, but it was the HBO reality series "24/7" featuring his dysfunctional family before his fight with De La Hoya that really cemented his fame. He took advantage of it to appear as a contestant on "Dancing With The Stars," made an appearance as a wrestler in Wrestlemania and currently appears in an AT&T television commercial.

"I bring the most controversy to the sport," he said. "The others are too nice. This is a brutal sport."

Mayweather and his advisers were coy about the contract weight for the Marquez fight, saying it would be a welterweight bout. But De La Hoya, who will be promoting the fight, said it calls for a 143-pound limit instead of the 147-pound welterweight limit.

That was a concession to Marquez, who just last year weighed 129 pounds for a fight against Pacquiao and has only fought twice as a lightweight. Though moving up in weight, Marquez is still considered a dangerous opponent, and many thought he won both his fights against Pacquiao

I must respect the fact that you have posted 4 big winners in a row
very good job capping
Sometimes it is a bit risky laying the juice on an OVER-UNDER in boxing
but you did your research and it came through for you
good win
