I know...I took the bait. Alot of good cappers saw this one coming and they were obviously right. I was just stupid enough to try to make a play on the the best team. I have been at this for a while and have abondoned my previously successfull strat of just playing opposite consensus. I now see the errors of my ways, and will go back to old winning habits. But to say that betting on the NFL has anything to do with "capping" is a joke. Its about consensus and regression to the mean. Nothing more, nothing less. "Capping" the NFL is a total absurdity.

I know what you mean, I got sucked in by Balt yesterday. I didn't think Buff would be in the game because of 3 defensive turnovers, I was just playing the angle that it was a bigtime game for Buff, but not nearly as important for Dallas, plus a possible look ahead.

Every year, I make a rule not to bet SNF or MNF football, because whatever you think is the right call is usually wrong. Needless to say, I have a hard time keeping that rule

Under a mask.
Give Dallas some credit. Not many teams could overcome 3 special/D TDs, 6 Turnovers, -5 TO ratio. On the road no less.

Dallas D was extremely impressive tonight. Only 3 pts despite short fields & tons of TOs.

Congrats Dallas a very nice W.

Come on 3 seconds you truely dont believe that.
If that happens next week forget about it.

There at home ,and next week is a new week, having said that a win on the road on a monday nite, and a tough win at that gotta favor the pats, and they dont need no help, trust me!!

How many teams could do that to themselves and still win?

I really believe that was a good win. Taught an inexperienced team a big lesson. Fought through insane adversity.

I didnt say Dallas can do that & beat NE, so I dont know where you got that from. I dont know if Dallas can beat NE period.

I will bet there will be a negative over-reaction by bettors this week & will give value to the Boys as a home dog next week.

The Bills suck, this shit proves that this is a bookmakers league...no need to "cap" this crap. Its a joke..now the NFL has two unbeatens going next week and the books clean up, go figure. I am sticking with college, I always make good cake on college and then give it back on the WWF. Fvcking joke. Congrats Bill backers, I will learn the way of take the crap team on the short chalk.

Jabber put your political beliefs into your sports wagering. Its basically the same thing. To cons going on you just have to cut thru the weeds to figure it out.

NE will be -2 or maybe -3 (+100) after tonight's game. Before this game, I would say pick'em, but after tonight's performance, NE is laying some chalk.

Sponge, we have always been political sympatico's, but now I am coming around to believe that this shit is somehow staged. I don't know how, and I have a hard time believing that organized crime can get to so highly paid NFL athletes, but jesus fvcking christ, just follow the money, go the other way, and bank ( a lesson I have preached for many years but recently forgot) To watch the last two prime time games, it is obvious, it has nothing to do with the better team. The Bills fvcking suck, no way around it, and so do the Bears, but they got 12(+?) turnovers, some questionable calls, and both these shitty dogs cover? Chance? Maybe...but it sure seems like a staged crock of shit to me.

I also think Dallas got jobbed by the refs here a bit.

Re-watching a few plays. Definately PI on the 2 pt. Complete face guard & shove b4 TO gets the ball.

McBriar was run into numerous times & one blatant one in the 3Q, no call.

TO on the long pass up the sidelines was clearly a force out. Not called.

TO delay of game on that little ball toss was crap..he just tossed the ball towards the ref...no spike.

The Pats should chew this team a new ass next week, but if I bet, I am only going to look at consensus, because the best team has nothing to do with it in the WWF.

Jack had Cleveland ML against Yankees and Buffalo ML $50 to win $812.50

The curse was born in 1990, and it festered for a total of four, resulting in four consecutive superbowl losses. It then went dormant in 1993.

FOR SEVEN YEARS.

In the year 2000 (sing it like that guy on conan)
the Music City Miracle shocked the world. The curse, it seemed, had returned.

THEN, EXACTLY SEVEN YEARS LATER..

...in the year 2007

on monday night RAW..err football...

IT RETURNED. (jaws theme music)

The curse continues, and as one poster has already pointed out, will be forever known as the 'Jerry Jones Crack-Pipe Incident', in reference to his reaction after the game was won.

Who knows what 2014 will hold for the Buffalo Bills?

The curse awaits.. :)

I was "handicapping" the two games and I came out with the Chicago Bears and the Buffalo Bills...its just how my numbers came out.

No, wait, nevermind, I just bet on donkeys cause the money is going the other way.

No way its fixed, it just works out that shit teams, that nobody wants to bet on, win/cover in primetime games and the books make a killing. What a wierd coincidence....the books make a killing and shit teams win/cover. Go figure. I am going to go "cap" next weeks games. What a fvucking joke. Its not sports betting, its trend betting. Forget the teams, forget their strengths, just focus on going against the public money and cash with the criminals. If anyone thinks they are watching a true sports match, they are insane....it s the FVCKING WWF.

I still like the college game. I know its integrity has been breached, but all in all, I still see it as an honest game. I now see the NFL in the same light I see the US Gov. Bought and sold, with not a shred of integrity left.

Why do you think the Bills are a "shit team"? They found a way to beat the Jets - who are about average. Even the worst teams in the NFL have a tremendous amount of talent.

Last week, NE covered easily. Sometimes the faves do it, sometimes they don't. But every "lopsided" game has an underdog with a lot of talent playing with something to prove. And these favorites are not superhuman. If they come into these games cocky or make human mistakes, they can get burned.

Sometimes it's just that simple.

What you ultimately have to understand about the oddsmakers is that they know everything and then more than you know, and also know what you and the rest of the public are going to do with what you know, adjusting their lines accordingly to meet consumer demands.

The oddsmakers are well aware of so-called mismatches, for example, and how the public will often line up against what is considered to be a weaker team, particularly if the "stronger" team is also at home. The oddsmakers know about how the gambling public will want the chalk, and thus will charge more for them to take what they want since there is that increased demand, making the dog the value added play on many occasions If you think that you are going to outwit the oddsmakers with some power favorite, you also were a believer in Enron.

Somebody should call Romo and tell him this story:

When Ty Detmer threw 6 picks for the Eagles, he was one away from the record. He called his father after the game and said, "Damn, I didn't know I was so close to the NFL record." His dad said, "Ahhh son, don't worry about it....you just ran out of time."

Just give Romo some time...he will break that record.
