The Crowne Plaza Invitational for Friday morning, May 29th.

The Crowne Plaza Invitational for Friday morning, May 29th.

Tournament Matchups for 18 holes for the Second Round only (morning session) :

Four Units :

David Toms over Steve Stricker @ - 105. Lost by 9.

Three Units :

Luke Donald over Vijay Singh @ - 110. Lost by 1. ***

Luke Donald over Anthony Kim @ - 130. Won by 3.

Two Units :

Jim Furyk over Paul Casey @ - 110. Lost by 2.
Triple bogey on 5th killed this. Don't usually see a triple from Furyk.

Lucas Glover over Briny Baird @ - 115. Won by 7.

One Unit :

David Toms over Justin Leonard @ - 105. Lost by 4.

Steve Stricker over Ian Poulter @ - 120. Won by 6.

***VJ, part 1 = I thought the minus five Luke Donald posted in the morning would hold up in the afternoon but VJ beat it by one.

VJ, part 2 = the one play, as usual, I crossed off last second was VJ +100 vs Kenny Perry and would have won by 8! The reason I'm mad was that it was going to be a two unit play as usually the last one I cross off is just a single unit play. However, I was already playing against Perry, who had a good first round, with Zach Johnson + 110 and I was also thinking Luke Donald would be able to catch VJ for my 72 hole play so I didn't want to root for him. Mistake again, although been doing well in this and the European event so can't complain.

VJ, part 3 = VJ also causing trouble on my outrights as I have three of the top four on the board after two rounds with VJ falling in the mix as the other one in the top four. However, my largest outright is on Sean O'Hair who is fourth but Stricker or Clark would work too.

Ok, my threeway frustration rant with VJ is over.

Marino

Marino

I have both Tim Clark and Steve Stricker (both 30:1) for the outright win and Steve Marino is trying to ruin it.

Already came up one stroke short with Alvaro Quiros @ 40:1 on the European side. At one point, I thught I might get both tournament outrights so I certainly don't want to come up empty now.

Go CLARK!

Clark/Stricker

I've got two of the three...should be good odds. We'll see.

Nice hit mate :mj06:

Thanks. Didn't net much since it was one of the smaller outrights but just didn't want it to get away from me when I had both Clark and Stricker. Also would have been tough after losing the European ontright with Alvaro Quiros @ 40:1 by one stroke to a longshot in Christain Cevaer.
