Man, I saw this guy and laughed my ass off? What gives? I'm almost positive it was him.
And I cannot f ucking STAND George Carlin...just shoot me before I listen to that jack off.

Its funny you posted this... on Friday, went out drinking with my roommates and a couple of our female friends... we came back to our house and turned on his HBO thing... we watched it for 20 minutes...
AND NO ONE LAUGHED. NOT ONE TIME. It was weird... especially when you consider that while drunk I find everything funny... I had never seen one of his routines either... but I thought he was a hack. Again, maybe he was just off... but he kept laughing at everything he was saying and making jokes about a bunch of stupid things I had heard before.
So we turned to SportsCenter to get some real entertainment.

this guy is terrible, most Boston comics don't care for him at all. Example, this month in Boston,, COMICS COME HOME, (THE LONGEST RUNNING COMEDY BENEFIT IN THE COUNTRY) is taking place and is hosted by Den nis Leary. Several Boston comics like Jay Len o, Steve Sweeney, Lenny Clarke, Bill Burr, Jim Norton, Patrice O'Neill, etc. he never gets invited, and struggles compared to most Boston area comics locally.

I don't know about this guy. I saw a little of his schtick on HBO one night a couple weeks ago. Nothing stuck with me, so I guess that's how big of an impression he left. He must be a college hero for some reason?

His HBO special was not that funny, except for the "movie date" part at the end.
If you listen to his cd's, you will probably understand him better. A lot of the schtick he does now is referring to stuff he did many years ago.

I enjoyed a couple of his appearances on Comedy Central shows, but I think he is probably more effective in short bursts. I agree that he is the flavor du 'jour and this is his 15 minutes in the limelight, and probably too much of a decent thing.
I'll take my two Mitch Hedberg CD's for starters, and go from there. May he rest in peace.

I saw a billboard for the lottery. It said, "Estimated lottery jackpot 55 million dollars." I did not know that was estimated. That would suck if you won and they said, "Oh, we were off by two zeroes. We estimate that you are angry."
I got a belt on that's holding up my pants, and the pants have belt loops that hold up the belt. What's going on here? Who is the real hero?

I just checked out the first half hour of his HBO special, and the first thing I noticed was the amount of chicks in the crowd going ape shit for him.
Must be his "every man" campus nobody look? He just looks like every other guy on campus, to me!

got to admit the dane cook skecth about the first time he got head was hillarious, his other stuff just didnt do it for me though, but the first time head clip is worth checking out....
His HBO show was not intended to be aired on there. He thought he was making a documentary of him and his friends, but after they finished, HBO thought they had a winner.
Only, the show couldn't suck harder. They give you 5 seconds of each comedian because they have about 2 original jokes a piece and cant give that away when they have 29 other stops to make. Even outside the comedy show is a disaster, a bunch of 30 somethings playing paintball or touch football.
You have to ignore that "tourgasm" debacle and all that other shit Dane Cook does now a days, but his cd's are hilarious. It's impossible to argue against that.
