He has motivated me, all this trash-talking he has done," De La Hoya said of Mayorga, 32, of Nicaragua. "He's worse than (Fernando) Vargas, and he is going to pay. You can't even write the things he's been saying, let's put it that way."

De La Hoya was asked to paraphrase.

"He has just been saying that after the fight he is going to grab Millie for one night and that he is going to show her what a man really is," De La Hoya said. "And that she is just a woman from the streets and things like that."

Fight Summary

- $ 656.00

The first round knockdown by DLH caught me off guard.

Mayorga did have a few chances. He hit DLH in the 3 round and I thought it was over for DLH.
He was able to rock him a few more times, but damn his hands were down so much.

Funny stuff going on with the threatened pull out by Ricardo for more money, Don King being involved not in the promotions, and Mayorga not being able to take DLH punchs when he has in the past stood like a rock against harder hitters.

Not to say something smelled fishy, but there was a smell of dead cod.

Sorry about you loss Scott. However, I do think that Mayorga was just broken down. Tito might hit harder, but he was mainly just head hunting. Oscar punished his body and head. I think Mayorga really under estimated Oscar's power as well. This caught him off guard early and led to the beginning of his down fall. I don't think anything was out of the ordinary. Mayorga is a limited brawler that is still living off his wins vs. V. Forrest. Styles make fights, and this was just a bad one for Mayorga. I think we'll see him vs. Vargas perhaps sometime in the future......

I took this fight knowing there was a chance for a nice win.

When the exposure of the money is low, it is ok for me to take a risk in gambling and wagers.

The upside was good money to be had.

Very difficult to judge a fight like that. If I would have read that about what Ricardo said about Millie sooner, I probably would have played DLH big. At least Ricardo didnt come in with orange hair in this fight. That would have taken me over the edge.

No one can win every event they wager on. The object for me is to keep minimal damage to the bankroll and live to see another day. There is coming a time this year 2006 when I will get on a roll of winning plays. I will be in the zone, and nothing to stop me from winning wagers.

I can hardly wait.

PS Whineguy - Did you even wager on anything lately. Post a play or stay out of my threads dipstick.

Don't let the haters get to you Scott,

You have posted a lot of winners and big dogs that have cashed over the years. It's just stupid to go bash a losing pick when those guys can't even touch your track record. Idiots.
