Best show might be pushing it.
Best reality though by far for the simple fact it is real.
None of this fake acting crap like the Gene Simmons,LA Ink, and so on fake drama scripted stuff. Never could figure out why you have to try and fake reality. Your life must be pretty boring thus not on tv if you have to add in fake crap.

NOTHING fake about Deadliest Catch.

Yeah, it's a great show fo sho. For me it's a toss-up between Deadliest Catch and The First 48 for best reality show. I could watch either of those shows literally all day long. Oh, and I've been known to watch an Ultimate Fighter episode or two.

First 48 and TUF are strong as well.
I thought the Two Coreys was over played drama, but since the death of Haim, I am left thinking it was more real than I believed.
Some stuff was still staged on that show although the drugs and and Corey's multiply fallouts now seem much more accurate.

I wonder how many episodes Phil will be seen in this season before his death?
I am sure they will have an entire episode or a special just on the Marie and Phil.

Sorry. Not much to talk about before an episode airs.
Also The Two Coreys topic is welcome in any forum.
You are aware that Haim is Canadian. :142smilie

:mj07: Seriously, Kickserv not wanting to hear about a fellow countryman?

And here's some more :topic: shit to rile Serv's feathers ... I also watch Pawn Stars quite a bit but that show is so staged that it's becom ing harder and harder to watch. The Old Man has to be the worst actor I've ever seen. None of them have good timing, but his is just awful.

Soary aboot that Kick, here's a peace offering:

Alanis Morrisette
Avril Lavigne
Alan Thicke
Martin Short
Eugene Levy
Michael J. Fox
John Candy

and of course...

I just realized that I apparently 'riled' your feathers yesterday instead of ruffling them. You really need to start calling me out on my dumbassery more, Kick. You'd think if I was going to make Canada jokes I could at least get my grammar down?

But to stay ON-TOPIC, very excited for the show tonight. Curious to see what they do about Phil's death...

Kick just doesn't like claiming Corey Haim as Canadian.

I am guessing that Phil will be shown for almost the entire season since he died in Feb. and king crab season runs from Oct. to Jan.

Great point. I wasn't even thinking of the dates of the season.

What's the over/under on Keith calling Monty 'Mouse' this season? If it's 35 or less I'm taking the over. :0corn

The articles I have read said that he was working all the way up to the end and Discovery even had the stroke on tape.

That's creepy. I bet the cameramen were shitting their pantalones.

So who do you think takes over the boat now? Murray isn't on the crew anymore, right? I don't think either of the brothers are ready to do it, but in the long run I wouldn't be surprised to see the younger one (that's Jake, right?) take over.

He suffered the stroke during the off loading of the crabs at the port so I am sure plenty of people were around.

From article:
The popular show, one of many macho job reality series that dot the TV dial, had filmed more than half the new season when Harris fell ill. It's still unclear how the death will be handled in later episodes, a Discovery Channel spokesman said.

Original Productions, which produces "Deadliest Catch" and a number of extreme-job shows, had a crew filming at the time of Harris' stroke. Phil Segal, president of Original, said he's not sure yet how the story of Harris' injury will unfold or if it will be included after editing.
