On the course!
I don't really care one way or the other, but IMO, that was a failed 4th down attempt. He ran right into the ass of his lineman, and fell down. The lineman's ass was behind the line of scrimmage.

I didn't think so. Ball was in his right arm and he was leading with his left shoulder. I thought his shoulder broke the plane but the ball didn't. They didn't have any angle that showed the ball cross that I saw.

yyz you are exactly right nobody else even mentioned that the ball was laying on his teammates backside and it was clear that's where the ball was at when he went down and his teammates backside was on the other side of the first down line he was inches short that was a bad call !!!!!

Lineman's ass was behind the first down line. Ball did not break the ass or the line IMO

Yeah I would like to know how you can call that forward progress when you dive and get stopped short and the ball lands on the ass end of one of your own players that is short of the line I'm telling you guys officiating is so pathetic anymore in NFL and Pro it's ruining the game not to mention dictating games and the outcome of them !!!!

That lineman had probably the biggest ass and he was ahead of the line marker, the tv yellow line dictating approximately where the 1st down would be is where the ball crossed before Barrett almost did the butt fumble and fell on his ass. What should have been done to make this all better and so that Jimmy Hard Hat wouldn't have another 4 year old I never get what I want tantrum was, bring out the yard sticks.

There were missed calls on both sides of the ball all day along with 2 easy missed FGs by the OSU kicker.

That's why they play the game. Refs don't lose the game, bad play calls and executing lose the game!

Period end of story.

That was probably the best Michigan/Ohio State game I've seen in over 46 years of watching them play each other, that's for certain and it was stated, the first time the teams went into Overtime.

I do feel both teams though need to be out of the top 4 talk for the Nat'l Championship.

BIG title game will feature Penn St/Wisconsin, both teams who lost to Michigan and split with Ohio St, but they are playing in the championship, so with that said, the winner should be in the Top 4 talk because they got to the title game and OSU/Michigan didn't!!

Great stuff ya'll!!

Who has a better resume then OSU and Alabama? Out of conference win over the #1 team in the Big 12 at their place (currently ranked in the top 10), wins over the #3 Michigan (who blew out #7 PSU and beat #9 Colorado and #6 Wisconsin) and #6 Wisconsin (who beat LSU). Are you fucking high? OSU's one loss is to a top 10 team on the road on a blocked FG returned late for a TD. Who should be in? Washington (127 of 128 SOS) with a blow out loss to a 3 loss team, Oklahoma who OSU beat handily at OU, Oklahoma State :mj07:?

If they are the best team out of 4, Ohio St that is, they should have beat Penn State, if you don't make it to your conference championship, shame on you! Don't reward a team for not winning their conference, period, end of story.

Oklahoma is over-rated and they still have Oklahoma State left, battle of Bedlam. If they lose, that won't help Ohio State's resume.

Yeah, you can argue for Ohio State cuz they have 1 loss, but you are going to reward them for not winning their Conference? I don't buy into that. I know it's all about money, but that's a crock of shit if you ask me.

It would defeat the purpose of having Conference Championship games and it'll just create more controversy for the NCAA and Bowl Championship Committee.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Ohio State, Alabama, Washington/Colorado and Clemson all in the Top 4, but Ohio State didn't finish the job and again, they should not be rewarded for it.

Just saying.

Alabama played for and won the National Championship a few years back without playing for their conference title. The conference championships are a way to boost your resume but winning is not a pre-requisite. If Bama loses to Florida, would they be disqualified?

Good point and I know Bama backers gonna hate me, but they shouldn't of been in then either.

TV networks are designed to make money with their advertisers paying a pretty penny, no one wants to watch a W Michigan vs Colorado national championship, they'd rather watch a team they can identify with.

Big public backed teams get more leverage than the programs that just go out and do what they are supposed to.

The system is still flawed and needs to be expanded.

With so few games played and the push to get big programs to play teams better than Chatanooga, Idaho, and Portland State in the non-conference, you have to put the emphasis on the resume and not Championships that give preference to geographic location over play on the field. For example, Wisconsin will play for the conference title despite not having one of the best two records in the conference. It's obviously a flawed system, so the playoff committee has to look at it as just another game.

The photo shown above is fake and the Ohio St. coach who tweeted it did so without knowing.
