McMillions looks really cool. I'll check that one out.

King of Kong is outstanding.

Grizzly Man was good.

Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room is great.

Of the ones not mentioned, what would be your #1 recommendation?

Have you seen Some Kind of Monster, the Metallica doc? It's fascinating!!!

OTHERS I RECOMMEND (NETFLIX):

The Pharmacist

Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez

Don't Fuck with Cats

Evil Genius

Wild Wild Country

Making a Murderer

Documentaries that are worth watching

Heavy metal parking lot is fantastic if you?re 50+ years old.
Lots of laughs seeing what many of us looked and dressed like in 1986 as teens and young adults.
For you younger posters you could laugh at what your parents may have looked like back then :mj07:

I will 2nd Evil Genius - such an incredibly bizarre and unforgettable story.

Wild Wild Country definitely lives up to its name. Growing up as a kid in the 80s, I remember my dad wouldn't take me to Shakey's Pizza because he had read the stories of people getting sick at their buffet. Never would have dreamed it was connected to this!

The Staircase is also an excellent true-life murder mystery.

Dirty Money is a great documentary series and they just released the 2nd season (which I haven't seen yet).

McMillions

Saw first two episodes, and it's going way too slow for me.

It is 6 episodes long. And it wasn't slow for me, I found it fascinating, and oh yeah that FBI Agent is awesome, there should be a movie made about him (you know the guy I am talking about).

I liked the 6 episode concept, the story is so crazy that I think it was a good idea to show us "step by step" of what happened. I also like the humour the producers threw in, good stuff:SIB

But yes if you want an hour long documentary that wraps things up quick, do not watch McMillions.

I dont need to see four hours of guido fucks. I read the story years ago, and that's good enough.

As I said, if you want a doc that wraps it up in an hour, don't watch McMillions.

Hoosier country
Was just recently gifted a copy of Pick It Up! - Ska in the 90's by a friend who is credited as a writer in the film.

Historical, informative, tonnes of great bands, and Tim Armstrong narrating the whole thing! A definite must for aficionados of the genre.

Peace! :)

If your into WW2 like me, Amazon Prime has one called, 'Soviet Storm'. It was produced in 2011 for Russian TV and is very detailed about the eastern front. It's in English.

do you happen to know if it?s available on any of the steaming services?

Fingers crossed we make it to a Pale Hose game this summer. Right now I?d say the odds are strongly in favor of it not happening .
