buddy knows a lot more about it than i do. a guy i knew asked if i could lend them some private web space and i did

they used it for a serious sports betting discussion "club" :mj07:

That's what it was. A "secret club" made up of the more serious minded handicappers in all sports from several different sports forums.

They were careful in who to select because they didn't want to appear too obvious in depleting forums of the more popular members.

The "club" was formed so the "handicapping intelligentsia" didn't have to contend with the onslaught of college kids who bombard forums every year.

When you're considered a "handicapper elite", you don't want to be distracted with childish nonsense. :142smilie

kosar my friend....a fashion tip..get rid of the shirt...:mj07: :mj07:

I wonder what ever happened to that bad boy. That picture has to be from 5 or 6 years ago. Stylish, comfortable. What more could you ask for in a shirt?

By the way, Kosar. That shirt represents solid, Mid-west, common sensibilties. Good for you.

Here's Kosar at the party. He was the first one I met on this trip (I think) LOL. Anyway, it was somewhere around midnight on Friday and I was in the bathroom (one of my many trips there during that 17 hour session) and as I was leaving I hear a voice from behind me say, "are you Jack?". I turn around and said "yes, why?" he says, "It's Kosar. How ya doing?" I think, holy shit, how'd you know THAT? He said he figured because he knew I was staying at the Aladdin and from my description I gave him and the ravens hat gave me away. I'm not too clear what happened next but I do know we wound up at the bar for a couple hours downing shots and shooting the breeze. Kosar is another class act and we both warmed up nicely as well. we drank for awhile and I decided I'd play some craps with him and follow his moves. I don't know the game very well and felt like something a little different anyway. About all I can remember was I kept having to ask him what numbers I needed to come in. Shit, I had numbers everywhere and in the condition I was in, I was lucky if I could rememeber one number. We played for a little while and I figured I had enough and told him I was going to hit the sack and I'd see him tomorrow. I think I lost about $300. On the way back to the room I heard a BJ table call my name and wound up playing there the rest of the night. :) THAT'S how I got that huge hangover. Whew!
