Same reason they televise the Spelling Bee? Or bowling?
I think ESPN is trying exceptionally hard to make this an event but in reality it just isn't going to be.
If you watch it and enjoy it then by all means have fun, I'm not telling anyone what to like. I was just curious if it was really a bigger deal than I thought since every third commercial on ESPN is about it and tons of SportsCenter time is dedicated to it.
well,it actually does damned solid ratings(particularly the first night)....heres an indication of how well they did in 2015(which,from what I`ve read,got a 25% smaller rating than 2014)......
