At what point does the concept of 'personal responsibility' enter into your thinking?

My god, every group that's ever set foot in this country has had persecution to deal with, and, oddly enough, almost all have been able to overcome and succeed except for a select few.

Even with government handouts available on virtually every corner for non-whites, many still don't succeed.

Some people simply don't WANT to put the effort in. Why would you when the taxpayers pay for your food, illegitimate children and medical insurance. Not everyone is noble and trying to get ahead in the world...

lol-

I think you and Wayne(Dogs That Bark) would get along just great.

Well, I get along with him very well also, so i'm not sure what my point is.

Wayne, if you didn't have a cute wife in Li, and a good marriage, I might just try to match you up this this free thinker!

Kelly, would you trade places with these people that live in a slum and are on welfare and splurge on their food stamps? On the public dole?

It's 'hilarious' how some white people act as if they are almost are jealous of these freeloaders.

Absolutely!

I don't buy Imus' explanation of his remarks for a second. He knew what he was saying. The only thing I think is sad about his actions is that he apologized. He didn't say anything that isn't the truth. This is a gambling forum and I guarantee you that if there was a way to bet on the color of the perps in ANY shootouts at a "club", 99.9% of us would take the advice of that great African-American Wesley Snipes and "always bet on black". And be up considerable $ because of it.

Does anyone remember the Disc Jockey from Florida I believe it was KID CHRIS(not sure) who made the song about the Tsunami when that happened? The dude got fired for JOKING FOR GOODNESS, was it a tasteless joke? YUP and it cost him his breadwinner. I-MUS-BE-AN-ASS has now struck gold TWICE, foo me once shame on you....fool me twice shame on me....clearly this guy has some sort of thoughts about either blacks or minorities in general...and to say it doesnt matter what he thinks may be true but why would it matter what anyone thinks or says for that matter, get the confederate flags out and post em up boyz......I guess the country was good when minorities didnt have rights or had there dignity stepped all upon by a man who was better then himself because he was just a different skintone. Some of you guys have got to be kidding....or then again maybe the mindset depends on location through out this country?
STAR of the STAR and BUCKWYLDE show(New York area talk show in the morning) threatened a crosstown rival Djs family DJs family saying he knew where the dudes kid went to school and wasnt bigger then going to see the little one, guess he should have been free to just make threats then if he carried out with them oh well things just happen. Maybe part of UNDERSTANDING this all is just being put through it:shrug: alot of posters in this thread obviously have never been put in an akward situation due to being different:shrug: Hell next time you see a mentally ill person just walk up to them and laugh in there face and call them retarded, should make you feel like a true american. What the hell is going on? Maybe I-MUS-BE-AN-ASS should of talked about how minorities generally dont committ mass murder or turn out to be serial killers?

Racism is no different than politics. The people on the fringes sensationalize things and those in the middle see things more for what they are.

You're right. I forgot to factor in how badly the chalk would kill us.

As soon as you have a close relationship with an individual of a *race* in question, everything goes out the window. I used to be like y'all. Thank God that's over. Have fun with all that.;)

Imus played the 'stereotype' or 'profile' card. Whatever you want to call it.

His reference was that Pacman had been arrested 6 times because he was black. When in truth, he was arrested 6 times for being a moron.

Imus shoulda just said: OOPS, I'm sorry, I f'd up again. Instead , he tried to spin a web that Pacman is an unfairly targeted Black man.

It was truly funny that he said, " Yeah , maybe he did one thing wrong, but I doubt 6."

Dude was involved in a shooting that left a LV man paralyzed. For that alone, he should have done some time.

Have you spent any time in all-black areas? I have, volunteering. I've tutored children, dealt with families and built homes for them. The bottom line is many do not want to work and find the conditions they live in to be better than having to get up and work like the rest of us. What's holding them back is their aversion to WORK and lack of desire to get EDUCATED. You can throw money at these clowns all day long, but you can't force people to want to learn or better themselves. They also laugh at the fools that come in and try and help. They don't want your help! They laugh at you for being stupid enough to waste your time on them. I've actually had them tell me this to my face. That's the problem with welfare, it makes it too easy to be a loafer.

Nobody is "jealous" of these freeloaders, we're sick and tired of having our hard earned money go toward people who simply leech off society. It doesn't have to be this way.

he`s the race police?...

no thanks....

lord, we`ve got a presidential candidate who`s likely to win who`s spiritual advisor/mentor said things that make this pale in comparison.....and somehow, this head of the harvard law review missed it all over a 20 year period...

now,that`s scary...you upset about that,jock?

personally,i`m getting sick of a "few' rabble rousers taking people`s livellihood away because they didn`t like what they said...

that said,i have no problem with folks putting appropriate pressure on the sponsors or mgmt to facilitate imus` removal....

Many have been there and done that.

Jealous? How about fed up? Don't confuse feelings.
These are the fruits of appeasement.

Not everybody started out with all the opportunities you had (I assume).

Anyhow, Anus... uhhh, Imus was trying to be a liberal appeaser or a minority suck-up and still got it handed to him. What a suicidal idiot.

Exceptions to the rule don't make the rule less valid. Why is it difficult to understand that one may know and be friends with people of all colors but still recognize generalities about race? I have some very close black friends who are attorneys. Guess what? They think and feel exactly the same way that I do about many of their people. The two concepts are not mutually exclusive.

GW to be totally honest with you, YES...I do have a problem with Al Sharpton...I dont back or really care for the guy at all, he has his times and places in which he chooses WHO to back and WHEN to back people, he doesnt rise to the occassion for all people of color, just those that may be involved in HIGH PROFILE thus great reward situations, I am one who believes no matter the race, creed, or culture we all are one.....we are or shold be humans...which is to care and help others when possible, and frankly I have no problem with helping the less fortunate as some of the others seem to have, I give to charities and donation pans not because I HAVE TO but because I am afforded they ability to do so. Does it tske a person to be sickened or taken away from you or us to open up the eyes and realize helping with the research jars placed in a supermarket by donating a few bucks is the correct thing to do? And the assclowns on this board who believe "blacks" dont want to be educated or work for a living are just as stereotypical as I-MUS-BE-AN-ASS, who on GODS green earth wouldnt take an opportunity to work for a living or go to school to understand the ways of the world rather then tote a gun and risk being killed or whatever else may take place in these "all black areas"? And do I really need to go into saying "MINORITIES" arent the only persons recieving welfare or dubbed as freeloaders.......evidently some people on the board have never been afforded the opportunity to see Caucassions,Italians, and others also apply and recieve these handouts also.
And to remark on the presidential canidate would do me no good because some people believe that a certain party they vote for or believe in is right and can do no wrong, I have no party I am true to....politics are like excuses and assholes......everyone has one and they ALL stink, when we have a presidential canidate or president that is really out to do good for the people they serve, maybe I will be a bit more interested. Politics get paid lots of money and still feel the need to push personal agendas, teachers make less then athletes.....doctors make less then athletes...teachers teach and do for world good but are not looked upon as glamorous or important. Something is wrong in America in the present day. We as one all need to better this nation and not look down upon NO ONE because we,you,he, or I have a little more money or land....if all the material things were to be taken from you,me,he, or she what kind of person would be left? I am still human and would get along with yourself and others all out of respect.......even without the luxuries money allows us to have.
