Don't know about classic but simple diff between vet and pinkies view.

You don't have to be an einstein to figure I would not be too popular among terrorist--you on the otherhand--

As I told you 6 years ago--you better hope GW wins 2nd term so we can win Iraq war--Consider where we be now had GW lost and you all would have succeeded with your cut and run.
Who would have celebrated more--the terrorist or your crew--Hard to tell.

Would be instant replay of viet nam with you all :00hour that we didn't win for decades.

--and have to give O a little credit he is doing much better than I expected on the war front. I believe its an ego thing now as he don't want to lose what is now considered "his war" after calling for retreat in Iraq. Interesting scenerio isn't it.

No question there are civilian casualties--however many could be averted if they told terrorist to get out of dodge.

The bottom line is that you are okay with unlimited civilian casualties. Of course i'm sure you would feel different if you were in Afghanistan.

In fact many are terrorists reported as civilians--

Got any evidence to back that up?

Terrorist only have one defense against drones--that being propaganda about civilian casualties in efforts to get orgs like Amnesty International--pinkies etc to do their bidding.

It looks to me like it's the "civilians" that have no defense.

No question there are civilian casualties--however many could be averted if they told terrorist to get out of dodge.

"Yeah you bad guys, scram!" That's so brilliant I can't even wrap my mind around that.

Agree completely.I did not vote for him but his foreign policy most notably the war on terrow went well.My only criticism would be he left Afghan. to early for Iraq.

He could of fought both fronts quite easily in fact because he had the Taliban on the run.I still support the Afghan policy but if we stayed in the first place maybe the Taliban would of not regrouped and in turn you would of cut down on casualties that you are seeing today. He did a great job in Iraq which I also supported.

His policies on homesoil? not so good.

Should Dems pop out champagne if Palin most popular in GOP for 2012?
Posted: 05:00 PM ET
FROM CNN's Jack Cafferty:

There are five Republicans generally viewed as the most likely contenders for the 2012 presidential nomination.

Bobby Jindal, governor of Louisiana. Mitt Romney, a former governor of Massachusetts - who actually finished his term of office and was a hugely successful businessman. Mike Huckabee, a former governor of Arkansas, who actually finished his term of office.:scared

See where this is going?

Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House.

But the most popular of the Republicans seen vying for the nomination in 2012 is... you guessed it... Sarah Palin. And it's not even close.

Palin, who describes herself as a mama grizzly bear, has a whopping 76 percent favorable rating among Republicans, according to a new Gallup poll.
Compare that to Huckabee, who gets a 65 percent favorable rating, Gingrich 64 percent followed by Romney with 54 percent and Jindal with 45 percent.

Palin, who quit her job as governor of Alaska midway through her first term so she could run out and capitalize on her failed bid to be John McCain's vice president, is the darling of the GOP.

If anything could overcome the increasingly sour view of the Obama presidency, it might be this. The Democrats should be positively euphoric.

You see, the problem with Palin is that while Republicans adore her - the rest of the country just doesn't. According to Gallup, Palin has a 44 percent favorable rating among all Americans; and a 47 percent unfavorable rating. And numbers like this don't bode well for the general election.

Bob writes:
If you still believe that the majority of American voters have even a lick of sense, then you have to believe that Sarah Palin, a gifted natural TV celebrity who quit on the people of Alaska to chase fame and money (lots of money )in the lower 48, could never be elected... As presidential material, she makes "W" look like a Rhodes Scholar. The woman knows nothing, and hasn't the decency to do anything about her ignorance. The Democrats' prayer each night is: "BRING HER ON".

Mary in Hamden, Connecticut writes:
I finally have to admit that I just don't get it. Who are these people? I would pop out the champagne if Sarah Palin were nominated, because it would definitely be a gift to the Democrats. But I'd have to have two bottles so that I'd have one cork for each ear whenever she made a speech.

Ed writes:
I would imagine Democrats would be dancing in the aisles at the convention if Palin is the Republican nominee. Of course at some point during the primaries she would actually have to articulate her plan ? wouldn't she?

D. writes:
If the Magic 8-ball, known as the GOP, fronts that gun-totin', word-mangling, half-wit, half-term, 3rd runner up beauty-pageant contestant, a/k/a "Big Mama Grizzly" as their grand idea of presidential material and potential leader of the free world, then we KNOW that Armageddon has arrived.

Why thank you sir- thats a compliment coming from King of the pinkies who never saw a social program he didn't like.-
-I'm glad you think my stance on terrorists --is lower than my stances on smaller government-anti illegals--lower taxes--and fewer social programs for you/your parasitic base.

That's the point my chickenhawk friend. Ya think maybe it's not such a good idea to be sending drones into civilian populations???

Obviously you consider killing 700 civilians to take out 5, that our "intelligence" has fingered as bad guys, acceptable. They probably are bad guys. But it's the moral equivalency of the police, in let's say YOUR hometown of Baltimore, blowing up a building containing 700 civilians to take out 5 bad guys, and killing them all.

Ya do know that includes women and children, right Weezy? Cuz the MSM (Military Silenced Media) has been instructed to use the military euphemism "collateral damage" to refer to dead civilians... you know, people... men, women and children.

So carry on cheering :00hour the slaughter of innocent civilians while you sit in your boxer shorts :0002 and count Sean Hannity's nose hairs on your 52" HD flat screen.

I only wish that I could be half the patriot you are.

Palin earned $75k to speak at Calif university
or $ 1,875.00 a minute.

ShareThisPrint E-mail By GARANCE BURKE

The Associated Press

FRESNO, Calif. ? Capping a long-running dispute, a cash-strapped California public university revealed Friday its foundation arm paid Sarah Palin $75,000
or $ 1,875.00 a minute, to give a 40-minute speech at a recent anniversary dinner for the campus.

In this June 25, 2010 file photo, Sarah Palin holds out her palm to show the notes on it while speaking at a fundraising dinner at California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock, Calif. The foundation arm of a cash strapped California public university paid Sarah Palin $75,000 to speak at a 50th anniversary gala, officials said Friday, July 16, 2010. (AP Photo/Rich Pedroncelli, file)

The former vice presidential candidate's appearance drew intense criticism and scrutiny after officials refused to disclose the terms of her contract to speak at the black-tie gala that ultimately netted major donations for California State University, Stanislaus.

University spokeswoman Eve Hightower did not fully explain what prompted the sudden release of the former Alaska governor's speaking fee, which officials previously had maintained was confidential.

In a statement, campus administrators proclaimed the event to be the most successful fundraiser in the school's history, saying it raised more than $207,000 for scholarships ? an unexplained increase from the previously released figure of $60,000.

"During these difficult economic times, I am especially proud that we have received an unprecedented level of private support," campus President Ham Shirvani said. "Thanks to the foundation's generosity and fundraising, our 50th Anniversary Fundraising Gala was a huge success."

Details about Palin's contract to speak at last month's event first came to light in April. Students fished part of what appeared to be the contract from a rubbish bin after hearing administrators were engaged in shredding documents.

That prompted California Attorney General Jerry Brown to launch an investigation into the finances of the university foundation and allegations that the nonprofit violated public disclosure laws.

The material recovered by the students detailed perks such as first-class airfare for two, bendable straws and deluxe hotel accommodations. The document, dated March 16, did not include compensation details for Palin, who often commands speaking fees as high as $100,000.

The Washington Speakers Bureau, which negotiated the contract, did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment. Palin spokesman Doug McMarlin declined comment.

Hightower said Friday the foundation also spent about $2,500 on Palin's hotel, security and a portion of her transportation to and from the small town of Turlock. A donor flew Palin in via private jet, and she paid for her own hair appointment, Hightower said.

Ashli Briggs, who helped retrieve the documents from the trash, said the public deserved to know the information months ago.

"Why did they try to keep it a secret for so long, and now release the figure out of nowhere?" asked Briggs, 23, a senior studying political science. "Our schools are hurting, students are hurting, and to charge that kind of money for a speech I still feel is a bit absurd."

The university, like dozens of other public colleges, has had to cancel classes and do away with some scholarships as a result of California's ongoing financial woes. Faculty was cut by about 20 percent last fall, and some instructors are teaching twice as many students, said John Sarraille, a computer science professor who heads the local chapter of the California Faculty Association.

Palin finally delivered the speech on June 25 and used it to criticize her detractors, as some picketed outside. A local tea party chapter greeted her with fanfare, waving American flags.

Palin told the well-heeled crowd inside the dressed-up dining hall that higher education needed a stronger focus on civics and constitutional liberties, and that college students had better things to do than dive through trash bins to learn how much money she was making.

State Sen. Leland Yee, one of CSU's most vocal critics, said key information, including how much money was paid to campus workers to erect security fences around the cafeteria, also should be released.

"This is just the latest example of why we need greater transparency at our public universities," said Yee, who is sponsoring a state bill that would require campus foundations and auxiliary organizations to adhere to public records requirements.

.................................................................

At least somebody is making a killing off the American peoples stupidity.

Go Sarah ! :mj07:

Army suicides hit record number in June
By Liz Goodwin

By Liz Goodwin liz Goodwin ? Fri Jul 16, 11:34 am ET

Thirty-two soldiers took their own lives last month, the most Army suicides in a single month since the Vietnam era. Eleven of the soldiers were not on active duty. Of the 21 who were, seven were serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, the Department of Defense said.

Army officials say they don't have any answers to why more and more soldiers are resorting to suicide.

"There were no trends to any one unit, camp, post or station," Col. Chris Philbrick, head of the Army's suicide prevention task force, told CNN. "I have no silver bullet to answer the question why."

Last year, a record-breaking 245 soldiers committed suicide. The Army seems on track to surpass that number this year, as 145 soldiers have taken their lives in the first half of 2010.

Tim Embree of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America testified Wednesday before the House Veterans Affairs Committee that many soldiers fear seeking help.

"The heavy stigma associated with mental health care stops many service members and veterans from seeking treatment," he said. "More than half of soldiers and Marines in Iraq who tested positive for a psychological injury reported concerns that they will be seen as weak by their fellow service members."

He pointed out that the statistics don't include the number of veterans who end their own lives. That figure surged 26 percent from 2005 to 2007, according to the Veterans Affairs Department.

The Army has a 24-hour suicide prevention hotline, and has videos and other resources on its website. The Army's new suicide prevention video features a soldier talking about his own failed suicide attempt after his wife said she wanted to divorce him. The rifle he used to try to kill himself didn't fire, he says, and he later found out his comrade had disabled it because he was worried about him.

..................................................................

Instead of terrorist civilians , some of yu fawkers should be worried about why this is happening to our young fighting men.

we are feeding them drugs to med them up or what

on the bright side for DTBlackgumby, the black fighting men do not seem to have this problem.

A clan is a group of people united by actual or perceived kinship and descent. Even if actual lineage patterns are unknown, clan members may nonetheless recognize a founding member or apical ancestor. The kinship-based bonds may be merely symbolical in nature, whereby the clan shares a "stipulated" common ancestor that is a symbol of the clan's unity. When this ancestor is not human, it is referred to as an animalian totem. Clans can be most easily described as tribes or sub-groups of tribes. The word clan is derived from 'clann' meaning 'children' in the Irish and Scottish Gaelic languages. The word was taken into English about 1425 as a label for the tribal nature of Irish and Scottish Gaelic society.[1] The Gaelic term for clan is fine [finɨ]. Clans are located in every country; members may identify with a coat of arms to show they are an independent clan.

The Klan, is the name of three distinct past and present right-wing[2] organizations in the United States, which advocates extremist reactionary currents such as white supremacy and nationalism. The current manifestation is splintered into several chapters and is widely considered a hate group.[3] The first KKK flourished in the South in the 1860s, then died out by the early 1870s. The second KKK flourished nationwide in the early and mid 1920s, and adopted the costumes and paraphernalia of the first Klan. The third Klan emerged after World War II. Their iconic white costumes consisted of robes, masks, and conical hats. The first and third KKK had a well-established record of using terrorism, but historians debate how central that tactic was to the second KKK.

So again as Rusty runs his toofless pie hole and attempts to slander me, it means little to me.
