Hello all, figured I’d drop in to see if there was a lot of crying yet, but it’s really not too bad. I really like the team that Trump is putting together. One of his big weaknesses was team building imo, and I was really hammering about him about this until the past few months when he began to align himself with so many brilliant and capable minds. Let’s be honest, I haven’t noticed where he plays well with others. This new version of DJT may be better in that capacity. I was impressed by his gracious tweet where he indicated that Pompeo and Nikki Haley will not be part of his cabinet. I feel like a year ago, he would’ve bashed them unnecessarily. Taking the high road is impressive.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Rubio for Secretary of State is a little concerning in that he is a neocon historically. It’s been reported widely that he’s expected to be nominated, but I haven’t read anything directly from DJT. Either way, I don’t mind him crossing the aisle within the republican party plus I’m aware that Rubio has softened his neocon positions, particularly on Ukraine, in the past year.

I’m headed to Marbella the back half of next week so I should have some Intel about what Europeans are thinking about the US election the next time I stop in. Ciao

He just appointed a TV host to Secretary of Defense. The clown show is officially underway.

When are they gonna start rounding up brown people? Do you still think that I’m in danger? Kinda nervous

I would say your hegseth concern is over the top and premature, but as I alluded above, that’s just how you roll 🤣🤣

I think we can all agree that the pentagon is a swampy mess at the moment, so I am cool with an outsider. What I don’t love is hegseth’s bio. Sure, he is Ivy League educated, two bronze stars, CEO of a veterans affairs outfit, and apparently found success on TV. I was admittedly underwhelmed when I looked at his bio in terms of related experience.

sounds like quite a few senators, Republican senators I mean, were caught off guard. A couple mentioned that he wasn’t even on the shortlist, and the senior senator from the great state of Louisiana, John Kennedy, asked “who?? “, just like our friend YYZ did.

So I assume the senators will do a sound job of learning about him these next few weeks, interviewing him in confirmation hearing, and deciding if he’s fit for the job.

I’m very pleased with the Senate Majority Leader not being Trump’s hand-picked man….most maga voters are probably upset that an establishment DC Republican won the spot, but I preferred thune over Scott. First, I’m not a maga Republican. But mainly because the party needs to remain unified in order to implement the agenda that I, along with majority of of the country, voted for.

I’m also extremely pleased that DJ T did not attack Pompeo or Haley when he offered a statement that they would not be involved in his cabinet or cabinet adjacent positions. I like that he was gracious in his tweet after bested the mega candidate for Senate Majority Leader. He’s even considering a former neocon for secretary of state in Rubio. I don’t love that choice, but I like his new tone. DJ T as a unifier of the Republican party is not something that I would’ve bet on, but looks like it certainly possible now.

I don't agree that the Pentagon is a swampy mess. Even if it was, putting this unqualified person in charge is a joke. When I worked for a company in the 90's, I met a lot of CEOs of gas stations and liquor stores, so unless you're the CEO of a major company, it really doesn't carry that much weight.

I'm glad Rick Scott didn't get the Majority Leader role. He would have been a puppet for Trump.

How about the Matt Gaetz appointment to Attorney General? Smart choice?

The Gaetz choice is puzzling. Anyone sane knew he would have issues getting confirmed. There’s only about 18 months from the inauguration to implement the agenda that the public voted for. No time or energy needs to be wasted. I say go with Paoletta. DC guy. No sex party allegations. DJT wants loyalty and Pauletta oozes it

.

——> “If these career DOJ employees won’t implement President Trump’s program in good faith, they should leave. Those employees who engage in so-called ‘resistance’ against the duly-elected president’s lawful agenda would be subverting American democracy,” Paoletta wrote on social media platform X

“I look forward to President Trump’s team Making America Great Again, especially at the Department of Justice and the FBI,” Paoletta added.

wow, your head is actually so far up your own ass that it's popping back out of the neck hole. literally tweeting out that "i'm not hiring them" is, in your mind, "gracious" and "taking the high road"?

Im starting to think you not have the ability to discuss something civilly.

Would you be willing to try to address me in this forum as is if I were standing in front of you? It’s just that yours is such a humorless and disrespectful tone. We both know you wouldn’t talk to my face in this way, so why not just carry yourself online as you would in person? I think we should normalize a modicum of respect at mad Jackie’s.

For once, I’m actually interested in your thoughts on this topic.

Anyone sane knows this is not a serious pick and is why he is ranked as the 3rd worst president in history. Now do you see why that ranking is just?
You know, I’m not sure why you’re hung up on this ranking. It reminds me of the happiness poll from Smitty. I seriously couldn’t care any less about arbitrary polls or rankings. I don’t take the AP poll in football as gospel. In fact, like many, I use it to predict false public perception and help with my handicapping. like I said, rankings are typically arbitrary. Third worst president of all time on one list could be someone else’s second best president of all time. And I’m glad that everyone has their opinions on it, but it doesn’t affect me in the least.

Beyond that, one reason that DJT will always suffer in DC based political rankings is he is not an establishment candidate. That’s going to piss people off. Just look at what it does in this forum. It’s the same reason that people will overblow his cabinet nominations and act as if Tulsi Gabbard in charge of national security puts us at risk. He’s not an establishment DC guy, he doesn’t believe in establishment DC principles, and, quite frankly, neither do I. This is one reason I voted for him. Of course, I had to vote for him anyway because I was basically voting against the DC establishment that has run this country poorly for the majority of my life.

DJT hasn’t even taken office yet, and it’s the same as it was his first term. Everyone on the left overreacting to everything he does. His nominations are mostly solid to fantastic. I was able to listen to Hegseth on the Sean Ryan podcast yesterday. I think it was from a week or two ago. I like Hegseth. I like what he will do. And I have similar thoughts on wokeness, and the need to eradicate it from our military.

Like I said on Gaetz, we’ll see if he’s confirmed. I doubt he will be at this point. I have brought up the candidate whi I think would be a better fit for that role. At this point, I’d prefer DJT to rescind his nomination and send Gaetz back to congress.

Why, you ask? Basically, time is short to get this agenda past in full. No need to waste any time or energy confirming these appointments. Let’s stay focused here. Republicans have a chance to shape America long-term. In-fighting within the party is the only thing that can hold us back from accomplishing what we need to accomplish, and what a majority of the public voted for.

trump has aligned himself with cricket and hedgehog? how exciting!!!
You'd be better served to STFU instead of throwing the wrenches in everything already. I'm pleased with the appointments and this administration will hit the ground running rather than Biden around, waiting on everything to fester out of control.

I’m very satisfied to this point. I’m confident that DJT will remain focused on enacting the agenda the majority of Americans voted for.

there is nothing to discuss civilly at this point. the country has just elected... well, there's no need to type out all the reasons why he's unqualified/dangerous/a complete piece of shit. hell, the man you voted for is incapable of discussing this civilly. so don't give me that bullshit. you don't give a fuck about civility.

and i would GLADLY tell it to your face. i have no problem with telling ignorant fucks that they are ignorant fucks. i haven't had much of a filter my entire life, and i sure ain't gonna start now.

It’s just that yours is such a humorless and disrespectful tone.
guess i just take after the president-elect. maybe you'll vote for me in 2028. assuming we have elections.

No, you wouldn’t talk this way to my face. I’m now comfortable calling you a pussy. Because only a pussy would act like a big man behind a keyboard. I’m back to not giving a flat fuck about your thoughts on any topic. Ciao

I'm not hung up on it, I like putting it out there as evidence of what a disaster this guy was.

A woman just confirmed that Gaetz slept with her when she was 17. You don't care. Trump has 34 felony convictions. You don't care. Trump was found liable for rape. You don't care. The only thing I can gather is that you're part of the Trump cult and will just obey whatever daddy says. "Revolutionary Intentions", lol. "As a black man......" lol.

You're just another Hedgehog.
