gee...thanks skinar...I guess Iam goign to school for nothing. A digital class is when you learn about digital circuits - binary numbers - how they work. I can give you a link from the Univeristy website on what the class is allllll about. I woudl appreciate it if you wouldnt say I dont know shit form apples..or whatever thehell you said. I must know something if Ive been on the deans list since my freshmen year.

I had the same problem, could not get the local channels. Here's what you do (this is an email sent to me explaining how to get around this problem).
"tell system you are using oval dish, type in 14000 as zip code and use the city either newyork newyork or newyork buffalo, pull out card, pull out power, reboot the comp, plug all in and you should be in business."
Now, the only catch is you will not get ALL the local channels, but you'll get most. Also, they will not be in the 900's, they will be scattered over the 500's, 400's and 2900's. It takes a while to figure out what the channels are, but its worth it.

I am running an emulator also, and am running into the problem. Is there anything that can be done or is this the beginning of the end.
Hellah10 - my apologies, that was uncalled for on my part. Terminology can be different especially in technical classes and I just had never heard your class referred to with that name. Congrats on being Dean's list.
yes thet are up and running, got hit the same as everbody else, a friend of mine stopped by x-mas day and swapped out my blocker and card, works fine. 900 channels can only be gotten with older recievers such as a dish 100 (RCA) BUT THE PROGRAM GUIDE SUKS! i use a newer reciever because i have cable for locale.
There is a fix for anyone "testing" DTV using emulation. If anyone needs the fix let me know. But only if your in canada or where this is legal
