You know Tiger is getting a huge appearance fee.. and by huge I mean Big Momma huge. He also has a course he is building there, where they gave him his choice of any 10million dollar lot of land to build a house ( for free). I will go on record and say he doesn't win this week.. :0corn I also will go on record to say its comical hes -120 at some books.

I'm 0 - 2 on these euro events.. So fade away

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Outrights:

Colin Montgomerie(50/1) e.w.
- - I'm screwed already . . . On Sunday night I was fairly certain this was my headline play for either event this week, and I've just been saying to myself since, "Please don't pair him with Tiger." . . . On view last week: (1) It was hard not to notice a few instances of Monty playing different shots with his irons - and doing it fairly well and with a little style - rather than his distinctive looking one swing fits all play; (2) His short game touch was sharp and confident from a fair array of different circumstances (FWIW from last week, 3rd in scrambling stats and 34th in putting); (3) I don't suspect he holed a lot of putts, but he was consistently getting the ball to the hole with good pace rather than consistently coming up tentative; and (4) His driving was where it needs to be . . . I already knew Mrs. Doubtfire had cast himself as on a serious mission to move up into the Top 50 for the big events, and sow some early seeds for the Ryder Cup conversations, and there's a lot at stake this week whether he's lying 2nd or 22nd . . . Unfortunately: (1) My catechism tells me that seeing Tiger up close holing the putts you need to hole the way he does is not likely to cause the hole to look exceptionally inviting to a frustrated victim like Monty as he's sizing up his job; and (2) Whether Monty plays brilliant, solid or frustratingly over the first 36 holes, playing on the main stage with Tiger is frought mainly with elements that suggest a sapping day at the office, and I readily compare Monty's task to the situation during the 1990's when a 40-something Tom Watson would put his name on the leaderboard early in U.S. Opens at Baltusrol and Oakmont and British Opens at Turnberry - by late Saturday and early Sunday, too many of the bullets have been spent.

Lee Westwood(16/1) e.w.
- - Last Thursday I was prepared to bet him across the board in all 4 majors, but I was very disappointed in his prices given the price on Woods, so I bothered with none of it, not even a single buck . . . Still very interested to see how large his season plays out.

Richard Finch(125/1) e.w.
- - I expect something commendable, will just have to see how far that takes us.

Ross Fisher(80/1) e.w.
- - A storyline with lots of spines from last year. How's that working out for you this year? We'll see.

Round 1 plays (1pt)

Anders Hansen to beat Michael Campbell -138 @ Pinnacle
Cambo made his first cut since September last week, but with missed cuts in his last two visits to Dubai, I can't see him making the weekend this week

Maarten Lafeber to beat Hideto Tanihara -113 @ Five Dimes
I'd back the other player in Japan, but Tanihara has played six times in Europe and missed the cut five times

Lee Westwood to beat Sergio Garcia -115 @ Five Dimes
Westwood is playing the better golf at the moment and leads Garcia 7-3 head-to-head in the 1st round over the past year. It should also help that he tees off in the afternoon as it will be pretty cold when Garcia tees off in the morning

ROUND 1 MATCHUP: (bet 365)

Nick Dougherty over Niclas Fasth -125 PUSH

Fasth playing with Tiger & Monty tomorrow so I'm simply fading him here as I don't think he handles this pressure and the masses. Dougherty playing 2 groups ahead of them should be able to relax a bit more!!

Just on the weather Stanley, wont be that cold in the morning and will have warmed up nicely by 9ish, plus if the wind is going to blow it'll blow more in the afternoon. Been over there last couple of years and been on course in shorts by 9/9.30.

Hd Edfors earmarked as a winner here since 2006 and see no reason to back away from that this week.

Round 2 plays (1pt)

Miguel Angel Jimenez to beat Martin Kaymer -110 @ Five Dimes
Ian Poulter to beat Martin Kaymer -106 @ Unibet
The forecast for tomorrow is very windy and Kaymer has struggled in these conditions in the past. As he also leads the mini-tournament (i.e. w/o Woods), that should also add to the pressure (something that Poulter clearly loves!)

Sergio Garcia to beat Lee Westwood +110 @ Five Dimes
I don't understand why Sergio has been made such a large underdog. If anything, he should be favourite as the afternoon starters today had over a shot advantage over the morning starters. That will be compromised by the winds tomorrow, but he is still the better wind player
