This thread is for anybody that wants to talk details of a fight prior to the lines coming out. There was much discussion over this last week and apparently it didn't get through to everybody. So here is a special thread dedicated to all of you that continue to post opinions on particular fights PRIOR to the lines being established. FYI, do not think it's just 1 or 2 or 3 you are pissing off. This horse has been beaten into it's grave at least 100 times yet a few here, for God knows why, keep trying to revive it.

the only one i`n seeing discussed is nate /garcia and that was lined early this morning at 5 dimes when i got up at the crack of dawn........
i`d like to know if you`re calling me out on this...
it surprises me as we`ve always gotten along....

1) Perhaps it is I of whom you speak? If you are also going to make snide remarks/name calling, you already started off on the wrong foot.
2)If you are referring to me mentioning a Vegas line before the off-shores posted it, no one discussed the fight, only posted a line.
3) I would infer from your post that you truly feel the major off-shore books are influenced by opinions posted here and do not use the number they get from their respective odds makers for the sport in question.
4) If that is true, does it also apply to say NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB, horse racing, tennis, soccer, etc., or just boxing?
5) If is it is in fact true that threads here will pull an off-shore line one way or the other, and all the regulars here, or the majority, at least, agree it does, then I for one won't do it going foward. I am going to post one line though: you are friends with punchmaster+10000/you aren't-8000. I'll take the odds with that one.

last thing...this strikes me funny because i had a "disagreement" with joey/mayorga years ago about this very subject......but couldn`t find the thread....the gist was that i made a comment about posting opinions regarding unlined fights because joey(and his sidekick mayorga) frequented the site.....and we all know what joey does for a living
D)they basically laughed at me for even considering that anyone on this site could possibly influence the making of a boxing line.....i disagreed....and stated that i believed that any conversations that guys that wagered on boxing as much as we did back then(and do now) would be akin to giving the oddsmakers a leg up on lining a fight....along with possibly perusing other sites to get a feel for what the players might be thinking...
it`s very odd that the whole issue has come full circle and now i`m the one that`s dumb/dumber/dumberer.....because i wholeheartedly agree that in depth discussion of unlined fights is not a great idea....
that`s my say....you can be sure i won`t be discussing unlined fights in the future...my word.....and nate/garcia WAS NOT...i repeat...WAS NOT an unlined fight...
i don`t mind the insults....it`s a gambling forum.....the insults roll off me like water off a duck`s ass....it happens...we all get a little excited.... and no hard feelings from me....
what does gall me a bit is when somebody makes an accusation then heads for the weeds...if you want to call guys out,you should show them the courtesy of discussing the issue so that the situation can get cleared up and it doesn`t foment hard feelings that fracture the board...just my opinion...
i`m not one to e-mail other guys back and forth talking about other posters...that stuff got old in elementary school...
rule of thumb for me is we all like to win and the shinkicks are forgotten by the next morning...no grudges here(unles your name is spongy....lol)...
it`s all over and done with by the next day...

I am nobodies sidekick. If I was a sidekick I would work on the other side of the counter which I don't. What I am is a friend. We talk about a lot of different stuff unlike a lot of leeches. Of course if I see a line that I don't think is to good I still bet it and he knows. Joksan Hernandez at +135 was a good example. Oh and for the record I stick by my comments from years ago. Nobody from this website is going to set a line on there opinions.
totally agree....i don`t think i mentioned whether i liked an over/under in the fight....just that it`s a difficult fight for nate....and i don`t think that`s exactly a revelation...
and mayorga...thanks for mentioning the conversation we had.....i was sure that you remembered it...
maybe some of the guys that were so hepped up about discussing un-lined fights can discuss it with yourself and joey...

Even if there was some strict rule about not talking about lines before fights I don't think you did that either. Nothing that was said would effect a total. It's a weird thread to be honest
