To be quite honest with you it isn't really him that bothers me as much as it is that his actions are allowed to continue. If you were at a party, work, whatever and every time you moved, some putz calls you names. You would just ignore it forever and continue to just ignore it without complaint?

It doesn't matter man, it will continue and I will get sick of it and ultimately quit posting for a while. I don't like people fucking with me when I am not fucking with them. If my only option is to put up with it, fuck that, I won't do that and nobody should have to. It's not like this is a disagreement. He sees that I post and then he makes a shitty comment about me, trying to get a rise out of me. I don't know of anywhere that type of behavior is tolerated in any professional or social forum.

I guess you don't see it because it doesn't make it more of a hassle for you to post here than it is worth like it does me. Every fucking time I post I have to put up with some little squirrel nipping at me heels, it is absolutely exasperating. If it was happening to you, maybe you would understand what I am saying and be a bit more pissed about it yourself. It's not like I can just hammer fist the fucktard into a puddle.

1. this isnt real life its the internet. at a party or at work there isnt a feature you can enable that completely hides what the person who is bothering you is saying.

2. you have the option like anyone does to ignore him or anyone else and never see a word he posts. if it isnt your forum you cant demand for certain people to be censored unless theyre blatantly posting something jack says doesnt fly. like racism. the guy made a little dig at you, who gives a fuck. it happens all the time. i remember years ago the rule was no bashing anywhere but the general forum. is that rule gone?

3. again, if you put him on ignore you wouldnt know what he was saying and it wouldnt bother you.

4. the fact he gets you so angry about what he types on a message board that it makes you want to physically punch him, that is what makes it funny and amusing.

Right, it's the internet and this is a site on the internet with administrators. The fact that we are, by your standard, not responsible for "real life" social and moral ethics means that we aren't responsible for racist statements either then. If that is the excuse you are going to use, "You can't do anything, it's the internet, therefore, not real life" then you don't get to apply it to racist statements either. I don't remember when the barometer of socially accepted behavior was degraded from "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" to "do whatever the fuck you want to anyone except call them a racial slur". If you want to accept that as okay because it is the internet, go ahead. I don't. I put them on ignore. Obviously, that is the only option I have so as not to have to force an administrator to, "God Forbid", simply ask a poster to act within the boundaries of adult behavior. I didn't ask him to be banned, I asked him to stop and provide me the same courtesy I have shown him my entire time here. He is unable to stop, so how fucking hard is it for someone to simply ask that people act like adults. I don't get it, I will never get it. The internet does not excuse how you treat people. Not to adults, not to employers, professionals, and parents. If it is behavior you would tell your kids to stop, you shouldn't be practicing it late at night with you dick in your hand.

Hope that helps,
FDC

1. a lot harder than just putting a guy on ignore if you dont like what he has to say.

2. most people dont take the internet very seriously. that is why its is extremely funny when someone gets so angry they want to stomp the guy insulting them into a puddle. we are on an internet handicapping forum, this isnt the fucking moral high ground of the internet.

some guy making a comment about you isnt hurting the site in any way. it is a joke. not a racist rant which seriously reflects on the site. it isnt a full on bash fest. it is a passing comment, in the general discussion, where last I heard was the only place bashing was accepted. i doubt there has ever been a poster who came to sign up and saw azbob make a comment about FDC and said to themselves, "woah woah woah. this place is definitely a place I dont want to be around!". like you said, we are adults, and adults typically dont run and tell the man in charge when someone calls them a name or makes a joke at their expense. before you tell me he does it all the time, so does everyone. you called the boys a fat fuck like 2 days ago in a thread where someone posted his picture. hedgey gets it more than anyone. he doesnt bitch and complain about it. at least not publicly. he ignores, or claims to ignore the people that rub him the wrong way until he realizes that he likes the back and forth and takes them off ignore 20 minutes later.

is there actually a set of rules that says no insults? i dont see a sticky in here and I dont see anything on the site saying we cant make a joke at someone elses expense. i am not encouraging it but holy fuck it is the internet. have you ever read a comment on a youtube video? literally any youtube video you choose will probably have someone saying something mean or offensive in the comments.

he isnt rattling off about how he wants to punch and kick you into oblivion, or hoping you get shot in the face, or whatever else you wished upon him. he compared you to some guy that people probably never even heard of.
