I am looking forward to California at Tennessee

showcase game for both teams

Any major SEC battle I always look forward too as the SEC is my favorite conference to watch

down the road to the end of the season will be a huge game when Notre Dame goes out to USC

ACC battles Clemson @ Florida St and Va Tech @ Miami

Oklahoma/Texas this year will be a great matchup and I am really looking forward to the Oklahoma @ Oregon game to see how well the Sooners perform. They are going to have a big year and that is their first test.

A couple homer games I am looking forward to is Colorado vs Colorado St and then CU vs Arizona State. Eager to see how the hometown buffs will look with Dan Hawkins at the helm and eager to see if they will have the talent (especially at QB) to execute his system successfully

cal @ tenn
(can cal compete for a national title??? a win here is a must)

sc @ ua
(the true test to see where arizona is at...ua @ lsu looks like a potential rout on the road two weeks prior, but the pac-10 home opener vs sc, after facing sfa, presents a chance for a national audience and a huge upset)

Al,

Same w/ me. I get most excited when I'm up 14 heading into the fourth qtr and I'm gettin' 7'.

That way, I can yell to my wife, "Holy crap hon, I might finally win one!"

Aug. 31 Thu. UTEP @ San Diego State 10:30 p.m. CSTV

Opening day...televised...Long's debut for the Aztecs.

I wanna see if Long can kick start the SDSU O that Craft f'd up.

Also, curious to see if Univ. of Texas at El Intercepted Passo's (to steal the old Bottom Ten column's moniker) overrated QB will implode on TV.

good point bgold, i just know that asu has been trying to be the team to take down the trojans for a couple years now and they should have done it last year and were one meltdown 4th quarter away from doing it.
It took an almost unbelievable effort by bush and white dragging asu dbacks down the field to come back and many might forget that asu was driving down to win the game in the final minutes before an incredibly lucky(or unlucky) bounce off of Hagan's hands leading to an interception.

So Koetter and crew want that victory even more than ever and are returning everybody but Hagan(who despite being one of the best recievers in Pac10 history was somewhat of a liability that game)
and Koetter has dictated his offseason to be prepared for USC by adding 2 very talented and highly rated juco LB to fill the holes that led to USC comeback victory last year.

I think ASU would stand a very good chance of beating SC this year if everyone is returning. BUT everyone is NOT returning, the only reason why SC didnt get blown out that game was white and bush who are both gone, along with leader Lienhart.

Sorry for the long writeup its just a game i cannot wait for and these are the reasons why. If asu does not win it would be a huge upset it my mind.

asu has the d-line upgrade.. not sure about the juco linebackers.. they got loren howard eligible.. the one time all-big 10 de at northwestern, a transfer from florida on the dline..and another former starter from byu eligible at dt... if these guys step up that's the key.. the asu offense is flat out loaded from qb,rb,wr,te and oline

Al,

I probably did, but anything not repeated (or remembered) within the last 90 days retains eligibility to be used as forum fodder.
