i do not think Monday is a mad house for tourists, however everyone will be travelling to NYC to work Monday morning. Guess a lot will depend on the time you are leaving. If you leave Monday after Rush Hour, it should not be bad at all. Even if you leave during rush hour, you will be going against the grain, so barring accidents, it shouldn't be that bad either.
Sat or Sunday or both....good question. I am game for whatever is decided and will be there both days if we do both. There are PLENTY of things to do in NYC after the games end.........
Guess we should get a rough estimate of how many are definately interested in addition to those who have already expressed above.

One minor correction:
Foxwoods really is not an option, it seems. They do not have a "sports" book, but a horse and dogracing simulcast area. It really is not very large. And -- they do not show sporting events, except for a few local teams (Red Sox, Pats, etc.). There is a large bar area around the simulcast, but it'snot suitable for groups. Foxwoods, although nice, is expensive and not at all suited to watching games (same complaint as with Atlantic City) -- my opinion.

Looks like the consensus and lean is to do this in NYC.

I drive into and from the city almost every weekend. traffic is not a problem: just blow your horn and accellerate.
Sat & Sun would work for me but since I would be driving in and out that night. Rooms on the Jersey side are a lot cheaper.
Visionary, are you going to take charge of checking with the zone? Try to find out what notice we need toi goive them and the cost etc.
I would be more than happy to help in any way since I am semi-local and know folks there.

If we're not going to ac just because of the T.v set up, I'm sure there are some sports bars within 10-15 minutes of A.c. I'd rather be closer to the casinos. If we're just going to go into NYC to watch games at a bar is a bar is a bar. Whats the difference if we're in NYC or Skokie if were just going to drink and watch games. I vote for AC but if its Ny I won't complain.
trust me...there are a million and one things to do.....watch games and profit during the day....party harty and spend at night.....
the ZONE will have a quote for me tomorrow..i told them we need space for 20 people..doubt more than that will show up??? but will post tomorrow...on saturday we can do a buffet and open bar....sunday morning we can have breakfast somewhere else and just have an open bar for sun 12-7 at the zone....suggestions.??
