I am truly sorry for that remark. I should have never said that. Hell, I lived in Jappa, Maryland for one year. Talk about back woods people but they were just wonderful caring people.

If that picture is of your family and/or friends, they look like a nice bunch of people.

Wow, Rhody not sure why I'd continue posting if my "friends" had to read these comments about me. However I'm not posting because of how others on here think of you.......As for raising the rim., the taller guys would still be closer to it. Making the rim smaller would make more sense. Shooting would be more difficult, especially foul shots thus possibly eliminating some big "goons".....Not sure of the figures, but the game seems to not have as many dominant 7 footers as it use to especially in college. The game seems to have evolved into more speed than having 7 footers clog up things.....Most colleges list 3 forwards and 2 guards in their starting lineups ....White guys, especially those of the 7 foot variety have almost become eliminated, due to the speed of the game.......And for some reason white guys from foreign countries seem to contribute in the NBA moreso than citizens........Just my opinion, I may be wrong....I've lost interest in sports in general due to my age, not the product......Most of us grew up idolizing someone in sports...After about age 40 and with each passing year we just lose that feeling...For me it's probably realizing, these athletes probably wouldn't be good neighbors because of their attitudes, would call me MR., and could care less about me or my opinion about anything if I had a chance to talk to them in a bar or as a neighbor.

This has all been fun so far but leave my family out of it. My father is dead and my mom is not doing well after her 2nd husband died last week.

I am surprised at what or who hangs out at these forums. Less educated, cruel, insensitive, crude, etc. is common at these type forums. I am really shocked at this.

There are a lot of good educated people at this and other forums but the people that post the crap are as I said are less educated, cruel, insensitive, crude, lacking and type of kindness, etc.

You fit the mode.

Why am I still here?

I am writing a book.

For those who do not know what a book is, it is a bunch of papers with words on the papers that is surrounded by either hard or soft covers.

Dude, you hit EVERYTHING right on the button. You are light years smarter about the game then most of my haters(maybe a little to strong a word) There are not as many 7 footers as there use to be. The game is much faster then the 80s, 90s, 20s, and most white citizens do not play basketball here in America as much as inner city kids play. Whites have more opportunities to do other things. When I played ball in Europe things were just the opposite then here in the USA. The majority of European players are white and most blacks on these European teams are or were Americans who could not really make it in the NBA.

The reason I am here is really simple. I am writing a book on the love affair of Americans and gambling. I really do not mind the crap that people throw at me here because they are all making my research much easier then I thought it would be.

Besides If I took every thing personally here I would have my "boys" track them down and beat them silly at the least because at my age I let others handle the scum for me. There really are only a handful of scumbags here.Most I find delightful and amusing.

You try to put on this tough guy persona, but yet you make EMPTY threats that you'd have "your boys" take care of your work. All that tells me is that you're a pussy.

Then you try to play this "I don't care what you guys think card," but you're always in a frenzy about what people say. But all you do in your posts are try to clue people in on all the "cool" things you're doing. Which it just sounds like a bunch of old farts with 02 tanks talking about bingo to me.
