you know they had to play a defensive game, if they opened it up they would have been eaten alive since their midfield was weak. And you know what, it worked as spain didn't score. I wouldn't be surprised if russia knocks out spain.
what are your thoughts as I very much value them!

I agree w/ most that the ref was pretty bad in that game. I'll give credit for Italy knowing the tactics. They knew EXACTLY what would and wouldn't get called. So Spain was left taking a lot of 25-yard shots. Would take a wonder-shot to score.
You know what? For the semis, I won't be betting much. But I do think the value sides are Turkey and Spain. Germany line has bloated. Will probably wait for gameday and grab the best line I see.
Did take some Turk +2 (-250) already. The math doesn't add up. Sure, I know about how depleted their roster is.
I am fond of Spain here. I think the matchup is pretty good, as they'll find some holes in the Russian defense. Would probably play some if I see:
Spain -0.5 (+120) or
Spain -150 to Qualify.
