What site are you going to use?

Have made no decision yet. Going to take some time today and check out some places. Hopefully not PGATOUR site again because they built it around the FedEx shit and it sucked. CbsSportsline?

Look around and see what you find.

I just looked briefly and there is not much out there. Yahoo's was interesting and a little different, might be too much work for some though:

Pick 8 golfers, 2 from their A group, 4 from B, and 2 from C. You start any of those 4, and can change your lineup each round. Scoing is based on the lowest score for that round. The golfer with the lowest score gets 20 points, and then it's 2 points off for every stroke for the rest of the scoring, so if the low round is 65 that golfer gets 20 points, the next lowest round is 67 they would get 16 points etc, any score 10 shots or more from the low round gets 0 points.

You can only use each golfer a max of 10 times throughout the year. And by using them they need to be in your active lineup. If you pick a gofler one week, but you don't start him for a round that does not count.

It sounds interesting, but obviously some people might be more active in changing their lineups day to day giving them an advantage over someone who might not access their lineup all the time.

Speaking selfishly, I have many weekends in the summer where it would be tough for me to change my lineup daily. I like the idea, but seriously, if that's what we do, I might drop out because there's no way I could remain competitive...not a concern for me, either way. Just talking out loud. Up here, we head for the lake and I tend to leave the computer at home most of the time when I head there to get away.

I can't believe its "that time" already.....and we already have an impressive list of potential participants. Agent, add my name to the list.

I spent a lot of time traveling last golf season, and my handicapping time was diluted. I want to attempt to redeem myself this year....

As far as the hosting site goes, I haven't spent any time looking, but last years PGA site was a debachle. CBSsportsline's site was fine (2 yrs' ago), so if it's still available, that may be the way to go.

And concerning Agents disclaimer:
For those who are unaware, Agent has run this in a haphazard manner for a few years. He pays out only when it suits him, and verbally abuses all who might challenge his golf capping prowess... :mj07:

Kidding aside, don't hesitate, send him your cash and don't think twice about it. He will administer the program, with the usual Madjack flair :SIB , and we'll have some fun with it.

A couple of yrs back, we finished our season on the same week of the Breeders Cup. I penned this for all the golfers/horse players in the house. It reflected our finish.

OAKAS broke fast, saved ground through the backstretch, bid 3 wide, responded when asked and closed willingly on the outside to be up in time. AGENT attended the pace from the start, loomed dangerously while being hard asked a furlong from home, dug in and gamely held for place. BOB STOOPS chased from the start, came three wide into the final turn, and closed willingly to just miss the place. SCREAMINPAIN broke badly, raced hurriedly through the backstretch, four wide into the final turn, dug in and finished gamely. BLEEDDODGERBLUE crept up through the backstretch, came into contention into the drive, closed well, but flattened slightly in the final strides. CHADMAN was off quickly, steadied mid-way, inched up turning for home and closed evenly. GAMBLINGISILLEGAL broke slowly, hurriedly moved forward, raced wide throughout, and lacked late effort. LIONS #1 off awkwardly, raced evenly through the backstretch, moved up through the stretch and showed mild late interest. DAVOSO broke poorly, raced up to the middle of the pack and did not rally. PHENOM?S PIMPS broke alertly, raced evenly and came up empty. BOOMGOESTHEDYNAMITE Broke very fast, chased the leaders for the first quarter, then gave out. JPBLACK showed early speed, was asked late and did not reach contention. SLACKERS CREW showed brief speed, drifted wide and gradually gave out. UGA raced in the middle of the pack and had no response when more was needed. BLACKMAN was slow to find stride and was never a factor. BLAZER showed early speed, drifted and failed to impress. BOX AND ONE raced unhurried and was outrun.

Good Luck to all that play

Always loved that play by play Screamin!:mj07: GREAT to have you on, one of my all time favorites! Now, if we could just find Oakas? :SIB He is probably trying to give all of us false hope that we will have a chance.

I love the Yahoo idea too, but reality is it is too hard for most to change their lineup all the time. Hell we all forget at least 2 or 3 times per year to set ours and that's only once a week. I will check out Sportsline but I don't think they had it up and running yet.
