ROUND 2

WOODS (-170) over KIM

Hate the juice, but Kim has had trouble putting two good rounds together, and yesterday he scrambled all over the place to shoot the number he did (chip in, hole out from the fringe and two putts from over 10' - all for par). Woods didn't make a bogey and didn't birdie a Par 5. Now they hit the South Course, which should be much to Tiger's liking.

JimmyTime I had to chuckle looking at your post as you were so wrong on your choices and really you were so right on your theory. I mean this as a compliment. Love to see some good thinking outside the box. As a guy who likes to bet golf but don't have the time to study it as much as I should, this is the only forum I know that you can make money just from the ideas and picks from the forum members. Keep up the good work guys. Stanley you are the best.

Round 2 play (4pts):

Y.E. Yang to beat Sung-Hoon Kang -140 @ 5Dimes
I simply do not understand this line. I would back Yang to beat Kang -140 over 18 holes in any event and in any round on the PGA Tour, so with Kang holding the sole possession of the lead after the first round this is a bonus. He may have held the post-round lead in his home Tour or on the OneAsia Tour, but he has never been in this position on any of the major Tours so it will be quite a performance if he can remain in the top-10 at the end of the second day. Yang is both playing well - he is 5th after the 1st round - and clearly did not suffer an injury yesterday - which may account for this line - as he confirmed his entry in the Phoenix Open yesterday. So this appears a gift to back a player in the top-50 in the World Rankings against one outside the top-500!

I see that Trampled Underfoot saw this when it was -125!

Kim's putter is on fire, guy is 1 putting 20ft in, hope he cools off a little....

Round 3 play (2pts):

Carl Pettersson to beat Martin Piller +110 @ 5Dimes
Pettersson is the underdog as he took two shots more to get round the South Course yesterday and made the cut line right on the mark, and two shots behind Piller. There are a couple of issues here: (i) Piller is in poor form - he has missed the cuts in both his previous starts this year and so will be feeling to pressure to convert this cut-made into dollars earned as his best previous finish on the PGA Tour is 40th; Pettersson has a top-5 finish already this year; and (ii) Pettersson's record when so far off the pace is very impressive - last year he started the 3rd round outside the top-60 on four occasions: in the Mayakoba Classic he shot 73 to move up the leaderboard one place; in the Houston Open he shot 71 to move up the leaderboard five places; in the Canadian Open HE SHOT 60 AND WENT ON TO WIN THE EVENT; in the Viking Classic he shot 66 to move up the leaderboard 50 places.
