Favorite Announcers

I have no problem with most announcers,but dislike these:

Billy Packer....Acts like he is the only one who knows anything about NCAA baketball.

Hawk Harrelson & anyone else with him.....Agree with Bobby BlueChip...Most annoying home team announcing crew that I have ever heard.

Brent Musberger.....Windbag,everything is very dramatic.

Johnny Most(sp?)..Don't know if he still announces the Celtics games but found his voice very irritating.

Agree with Nolan about the Fox pre-game show.Although I like Collinsworth & Bradshaw,the show on a whole acts too silly & idiotic.The CBS pre-game show tends to copy the leader(FOX) & they too act stupid.

great topic. in terms of baseball, i like vin scully, joe buck, joe morgan among those currently working. i used to enjoy joe garagiola (sp?) when he was working, but the best baseball tandem of all time i'm afraid most madjackers are too young to remember. when i was a boy i would always be waiting by the tv on saturday afternoon when dizzy dean and peewee reese came on with the game of the week. those two had a unique ability to make the game of baseball come alive to a boy with all it's intricacy, drama and history. when they finally took dizzy off the air, supposedly because of complaints from nabobs about his grammar, i went a long time without watching a baseball game on tv. dizzy was one of the most wonderful characters in the history of a game known for its characters.

NHL- Gary Thorne..Tom Mees was great before he died
Cant Stand....Summerall, Gary Macord, Dick Vitale, Marv Albert
