Adding (1 unit):

Stuart Appleby to beat Hal Sutton -110 @ Bet365, Sportingbet and Sporting Odds
Simply refusing to believe that the Ryder Cup captain is back to his best. He does have three top-six finishes in his last five events (plus two poor events), but he missed the cut on the only occasion that he has played this course in this decade. He may prove me wrong, but I will continue to side with course specialist against Sutton for some time yet.

John Huston to beat Jose Maria Olazabal -110 @ BetInternet
Olazabal is another I will continue to oppose. He has fared well at times this year and his 66 in the 3rd round last week in poor weather conditions was a very impressive feat, but he misses too many cuts. Will side with Huston who returned after a five-week layoff to finish in the top-20 last week and will be less rusty this week.

adding 72 holes
Appleby - 110 over Allenby@ SIA
Howell -110 over Allenby @ $plays

Hate to wager on rumors but read where Allenby is having maritial probs and considering this have went back over his playing schedule last 4 years which has always been full leading up to Open and this year he has went noplay-noplay-wd the last 3 weeks which would be strong indication something is amiss.
Will take a shot with a couple of possible contenders this week.

1st rd plays both - 1/2 stroke and -115 @ WSEX

Lawrie over Lickliter

Lawrie has not played here before but has excellent U.S. form making all 3 cuts here this year and on some tough course with a top 10 and top 15 to boot. project weather today should be right up his alley.

Howell over Beem

Howell has almost a stroke pre cut adv and is the better player by far.

OUTRIGHTS:

Hal Sutton(33/1) for 0.60* e.w. @ Bet365
Sutton's long-time caddie Freddie Burns has been oozing with talk about how his man is "this close" to putting it all together and winning, and Hal is apparently in smug agreement. Time will tell.

Stuart Appleby(30/1) for 0.60* e.w. @ 5 dimes
Player consultant Ed Sneed confirms the course design offers an exceptional number of risk/reward opportunities, but of course execution is another matter. Appleby came through with a fine effort when the whole world liked his chances at the ANZ Championship.

Robert Gamez(66/1) for 0.60* e.w. @ Bet365 and 5 dimes
He knows he is playing well, I know he is playing well, and last week even Tiger could see he has been playing well. While he doesn't qualify as a mudder, last week at Memorial and slogging it around this week during a near miss in the U.S. Open qualifying have not dissuaded me of the possibilities for this week.

John Huston(75/1) for 0.50* e.w. @ 5 dimes
Recent work with his swing coach has his swing back in rhythm after too much pounding in an attempt to keep up with all the youngsters. His putter even caught some fire at Memorial, and a streak of going low is his calling card.

Duffy Waldorf(125/1) for 0.50* e.w. @ Bet365
Wouldn't that be a surprise? He is getting air time and looks comfortable enough to me to have some chance.

MATCHUPS:

Sutton(-135) over Mayfair (Tournament) for 1* @ Olympic

Lawrie(-105) over Fasth (Tournament) for 1* @ 5 dimes

THURSDAY 3-BALLS:

I have a full plate of 3-Ball matches in The States today (it even includes $10 at +900 on honorary Aronimink member Gary Player). They are all small plays and none have been researched as fully as usual. Nevertheless, I'll hit one 3-Ball play for a full unit:

PARLAY: Huston(+120) over Lowery/Elkington WITH Sutton(+120) over Allenby/Langer WITH Parnevik(+225) over Howell/Beem for 1* @ Bet365 @ 15.09/1

Cheers Large222 :)

2nd round update: 2-1-0; +1.00 units

Mickelson/Love WON by 1.5
Parnevik/Beem LOST by 2.5
Appleby/Baird WON by 3.5

Mid-point update:

Allenby/Beem Trails by 7
Triplett/Beem Trails by 4
O'Meara/Kuehne WON by 3
Appleby/Sutton Trails by 7
Huston/Olazabal All Square

Harrington 24th
Appleby 63rd
Howell 9th

Two chances with the outrights as the leaderboard is tightly packed behind Sabbatini and fortunate that the only matchup decided at the cut is a win. None of the others are leading, so they can only improve!

Estes/Howell 4dn
Harrington/Appleby 4up
Beem/Oly 4up

Think it might be one of those weeks as the By's from Aussie both make cut on the number.

outrights Mc Roy non starter,Hoch was cut and looks like he will never return to form.

Will pass the rest of week as in middle of golf tourney and appears to be for best anyway.
