Sponge did you by chance read ESPNs story they did on Lee? It's a great story and is going to make for a movie that won't most believe could have been real.

I've watched a few of his fights and I'll have to say the guy is a pretty good fighter. The fight with Anderson was strange to watch because Anderson spent a lot of the time trying to take him down. I thought he was your typical Brit and only liked to stand and bang but his fight in the UFC vs Jorge Rivera(I think) ended pretty quickly by sub. It was a pretty slick sub to, he could have gone two different ways with it to win.

Got chance to see him live once. The ground was his weakness but he had worked hard to improve. His striking was potent - super fast hands and the ability to put your lights out

I just knew Dana ran to Rampage first. Just knew it. Why would he ask Jones first? Even today i was researching around wondering where Rampage was and forgot he had a fight with Silva. Ramapge prolly figures he will get the next fight and why fight both of them now.

I don't think Rampage gives a shit about the title. Been there, done that kind of attitude IMO. He isn't the type of guy that I would expect to be able to take a fight on short notice, so I don't think it has much to do with anything except prep time.

Jackson has a fight May 28th. I just think he would not in the shape he wanted by Mar 19th. He does have a history of putting on the pounds in between fights:0corn

I was more talking about Dana running right to Rampage first. I thought it was strange to ask Jones first. Rampage is Dana's boy. On another note Rampage say's he is 250 now lol. Ya can't blame him for turning it down.

i remember lee murray...didn`t know he got pinched by the po po......but i don`t remember him being a "great" fighter...i think his crazy situation and life story is tending to embelish his mma credentials....

and if i were rampage,i`d concentrate on silva....he`s facing a younger mirror image of himself.....a guy i don`t think he can intimidate...

i anticipate rampage/silva about as much as any match-up i can remember...

I'm anxious to see if Rampage will ever start going back to throwing people to the ground and pounding. With age his speed is going to be decreasing but his strength should still be there. I think he's in big trouble vs Silva.

Im completely opposite. I think Silva is taylor made for Rampage's style. The guy comes right at ya. Kinda like Wandy. I think Rampage knocks him out cold. He chased around Machida, Rashad, and even Jardine. Made tough fights for him. He won't be trying to cut the ring all day long like he had to with Machida and Rashard. Silva is to careless. He is gonna get his head knocked off. Just my opinion of course.

He say's he only needs six months of training to be on top again. After a 7 year layoffs? He must be super human.

I know he comes at people just like Wandy. Don't forget in Wandy's prime he smashed Page twice and it wasn't close. This is a prime Silva vs an older Page.

Lay u are falling dangerously close to the Weasel category of talking about what happen five years ago. I look at what has happen in the present. Page isn't as careless as back then and his footwork looks great. Silva is a tough nut. Just think he is taylor made for Page. Page is a bit slower now but in this fight i think he can be. Then again he is 250 so who knows what he will be a week before the fight.

you`re right...5 years ago matters....rampage is getting older...and weighing 250 between fights is not a solid practice when you`ve been through many wars and are pushing 33.......

Sponge, if we are indeed only look at the here and now then what are you looking at that makes you think Page is fighting well. IMO he's looked like crap his in his last two fights. Hey buddy, I'm probably wrong because I've been seeing things through different glasses lately.

I thought his footwork cutting off the ring against Machida was fantastic. I thought against Machida we would see the same old Rampage loading up and winging it but he actually did some homework for a change. Now against Silva he isn't gonna have to nearly work as hard cause Silva is cocky and right in front of ya. Sure he didn't land the bomb against Machida but chasing around Machida is not an easy deal. U have to remember after Showgun drilled Machida it was gonna be harder then ever to catch Machida now. Silva does have the balls to go toe to toe with rampage and might drill him early but in the last few years, i haven't seen anyone go toe to toe with Rampage and make out well. Forrest has halfway decent hands and he couldn't do anything standing toe to toe. It was his kicks that got him that bullshit win. I look at this a little like Stann and Leben a little. One guy with technically better striking against a meathead with a great chin. Or as Thong would say. "Stann was the better pure striker." Im a fan of Silva and like the way he fights but i just think he is gonna get drilled in this one. Rampage's guard i feel is excellent except he can never get up. That worries me if he gets taken down. He never gets hit on the ground but he never gets up lol.
