There are a lot of interesting fighs next weekend?

I haven?t been on the lucky side of some decisions lately, so hopefully I can turn it around next week.

Anyway, any feedback is much appreciated.

Munroe Martinez
I haven?t seen the first fight between the two.
The common thinking seems to be that it will either be Munroe by decision or Martinez by ko?.but the first decision was very close (at least on the scorecards).
Some bookies already have props on this fight. Sportingbet has Martinez WPTS @+650, that?s worth a gamble IMO!

John vs. Juarez
I think the bookies got that one right.
John by decision that?s my prediction, the over looks very solid, but I don?t expect a good line.

Marquez vs. Diaz and Banks vs. Adamek are already covered in other threads.
Hopefully there will be Lederman props on Marquez vs. Diaz. :)

Munroe-Martinez is a very interesting rematch.
Martinez is the tough little guy who scorched Bernard Dunne in 1 round.

I did see the first battle, and I thought Munroe was a deserving winner by decision. Yet it was close enough to not count Kiko out in the rematch.

The Spaniard can really bang and Munroe has looked vulnerable at times in his last couple outings.

Obviously the homecourt again favours Munroe, but I have a feeling Martinez will come out very determined for this rematch.

I thought Chris John CLEARLY lost to JMM. Rocky Juarez, as we know, is NO Marquez. John decision is the most likely outcome here. Rocky needs to let his damn hands go.

As for Dunne, I just made a small bet on Cordoba in 1 against Dunne at +4000!

Dunnes chin is bad, Cordoba is a decent puncher...

Maybe Martinez underestimated Munroe a little in their first fight...there are also quite a few fights were the puncher wins a surprising decision... :toast:

Smart betting on martinez at plus 650.
Those are the bets that make you rich in the long run.
I have myself alittle bit of Diaz inside at 750.
If Diaz just keeps close enough to Marquez all the time Marquez will be pretty exhausted come the later rounds. I rewatched his fight with Casamayor and he had problems early but after round 4 he took over. He gets hit clean though but seems to have superb chin but i more speculating with a stoppage due to relentless pressure from Diaz more than one punch ko. Under at 285 is a nice bet too and Marquez has the potential to stop Diaz in fact if marquez wins he wins by stoppage.
Diaz throws alot more punches than marquez and i believe if it goes the distance Diaz will get the nod.

Yes
Mayorga Forrest 2 comes to mind
A fight where the puncher never got the expected KO, but did enough to win the decision

happens quite often in rematches actually

Urango Ngoudjou is another example where the puncher manages to hurt the boxer but just cannot finish...

@tony montana
I'm not so sure actually.
Marquez is pretty tough and I think he's smart enough to stay away from Diaz and use his boxing skills, he is a master counter puncher and this could be a stylistic problem for Diaz to get close...both guys are not great punchers...if there is a stoppage it probably wont be until very late in the fight, maybe on cuts...Diaz inside at +750 is a nice line though!

Another fight of interest this weekend is Martin Rogan challenging Matt Skelton for the Euro title

I did not see Rogan's win over Harrison, but I know he is the Prizefighter winner and a feel good story in Britain.

I was not overly impressed with Skelton last time out against Vidoz...I thought he was losing until Vidoz quit on the stool (pathetically exhausted).

The Brits on the board may know better than me, but is Rogan worth a small play at +500?

Another question for Brits on the board is why is Olusegun so heavily favored against Hayward. Hayward is +930 and his record doesn't look that bad. Also because of favorite/dog odds difference, they put under to low IMO. Over 10 is 1.85. Neither guy has a KO loss, and both guys have fewer than 50% KO ratio.

Dionisio Miranda
-115
Giovanni Lorenzo
-115

Interesting battle on the undercard of Adamek-Banks.
Even money.

Lorenzo coming off his first professional loss in an eliminator with Raul Marquez.

Miranda coming off the upset victory over Sebastian Demers in Canada.

@olddirtyfigher
I was wondering the same thing!

@ghost kid
I have a small bet on Rogan by decision and over 9 rounds...
Rogan is tough and he will definetely come to fight...Skelton is definetely getting a little long in the tooth.
Both guys seem to be tough guys, so the over looks good!

Maksym Pedyura +280
Alexander Ustinov -370

2pm ET Thursday

Guys I'm not the type to use the word "sure thing"
but I wanted to bring a fight to the board's attention.

Tomorrow morning in the Ukraine Ustinov fights Pedyura.
Ustinov is anywhere from -350 to -370 (5dimes) depending on the site.
The line actually opened at -260.

He is a former Kickboxing champ and he has been signed by K2 Promotions (the Klitchscko's company).

Ustinov is being moved along in Europe and this should be a showcase for him. His opponent is an undefeated Ukranian who has never fought anyone of note.

Ustinov is 300 pounds. He has a punch and he has never been KO'ed in a kickboxing or boxing match.

http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=314868&cat=boxer

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Ustinov

He doesn't look the part, but he should destroy this opponent fairly easily.
I know it's a high price, but he looks to be a solid winner. He should probably be priced higher.

This is my biggest bet in a while.
Just wanted to point this one out.
Good luck fellas.
